Katy Perry for OPI nail polish collection is a teenage dream!

So one of my favorite nail  polish brands,OPI,  is teaming up with  my latest girl crush Katy Perry to release a new line of polishes inspired by her daring and fun style. I am smitten to say the least, at hearing this news!

It makes sense why they chose Ms. Perry as their newest collaboration. Besides being undoubtedly gorgeous Katy is always making sure her nails look on point! Katy doesn’t let a red carpet opportunity pass by without showing off her trendy nail beds. If you follow her on twitter you will know that she has posted twitpics of her fun and funky nail art as well.

The Katy Perry Collection by OPI will include four really glam song inspired shades: Teenage Dream (a girly pink glitter), Not Like the Movies (a sexy silver), Last Friday Night (a funky glittery blue), and The One That Got Away (a romantic raspberry). I love how the names/song titles pretty much fit perfectly with the shade of polish. I honestly couldn’t imagine Teenage Dream being any other color but pink!

And I can’t forget to mention the most exciting of the collection, a topcoat called  Black Shatter,  that creates a cracked/leopard pattern when applied over dried nail polish! Ummm can you say love?! This makes me super excited, I have always been the one with her nails done in bright funky colors since I was just a little bad girl.  The nail lacquer and nail industry have surely come a long way since then and as an enthusiast I couldn’t be happier!

The Katy Perry Collection by OPI will be available starting January 2011, at ULTA stores (www.ulta.com), for $9.

What do you think about the Katy Perry collection? Will you be making a purchase or trip to your nail salon for it?
