“It’s such a fantastic experience to see how creatively Alber Elbaz uses his designs to form a couture experience for our exclusive fashion show in New York. Working with this incredibly gifted designer has been like an ongoing fashion moment, and we’re thrilled to offer his masterpieces to our customers.” Margareta van den Bosch, creative advisor at H&M.
Last night at The Pierre Hotel in New York City H&M and French fashion house Lanvin presented their new and quite possibly most anticipated designer collaboration collection with a fabulous jaw dropping runway show. The haute couture creations, which were customized pieces from the Lanvin for H&M collection, made their way down the catwalk. The setting for the show was decorated with beautiful flowers, greenery, and trees.
I may be biased because I am a huge fan of Lanvin, but I am smitten! I LOVE the printed tights, green lipstick, bows, the sunglasses, the masculinity of a few of the looks, the Parisian flair and the edginess of everything! This last picture (above) with the two models is one of my favorite photos. It must be a play on the advertising campaign with the two women wearing the same dress. And of course the sunglasses are super hot!
The Lanvin for H&M collection will be sold in around 200 stores worldwide. It will be launched November 20 in US and Canada, and on November 23 in the rest of the world. To find out if the collection will be sold in a city near you visit www.hm.com.
I am beyond excited to hopefully get my hands on a few items from the collection. So forget waking up early for Black Friday because tomorrow is Lanvin Saturday and I am all about it!
Will any of you dolls be hitting up an H&M?! What pieces are you loving from the collection?
