OK! So as a B.A.D. Girl the last thing I want is for anyone to tell me what to do or what I should and shouldn’t wear. However, when it comes to the opposite sex there are some things they just don’t get or appreciate and one of those things is FASHION!
Here are my top picks for items to avoid on a first date.
For whatever reason most guys have a (negative) thing with girls and hats, so unless you really need one for your date try to stay away. Plus, it will hide your pretty face and just be a distraction.
2. Trends.
I love experimenting with fashion and have been with my boyfriend for 5 years and he still doesn’t get it no matter how many times I explain myself. This is why I think its important to skip wearing really trendy items on a first, second and probably 3rd date. Trendy items are distracting and he. just. wont. get. it.
3. Stripes.
More specifically, black and white stripes that will have him thinking of referees and sports when he should be focusing on getting to know you. Also you should definitely avoid harem pants.
4. A tee shirt expressing a controversial or bold opinion.
Bold shirts allow people to form opinions without getting to know you. Now this is coming from a girl who designs shirts for a living, but honestly the last thing you want is your date to judge you because you decided to wear your ‘Aint No Wifey’ tank.
5. Uncomfortable Shoes.
It’s your very first date and the last thing you want is to feel self-conscious or uncomfortable and have it be your own fault. I don’t care how beautiful or expensive your shoes are if they are going to cause you pain opt for a different shoe.
What do you recommend NOT wearing on a first date?

especially fedoras! My bf always had something to say when I used to wear a fedora lol
I would say no mini skirts, either. And I suggest not ordering spaghetti if you go out to eat (a mistake I’ve made!).
I agree no mini skirts and def no pasta with red sauce! Its impossible to not get a stain or make a mess! Great suggestion!
This is super cute and really good tips! thanks for sharing gf!
