One of the most important keys to a building a successful relationship is your ability to show a sincere interest in both the person and the things that are important to that person. When you express genuine interest in someone you give them a sense of importance, well being and value.
However, it is equally as important that you are not fake with it. Don’t pretend to love politics when the only “politics” you care about involve Olivia Pope! Don’t pretend to be okay with the fact that he spends all his free time playing video games when you secretly want to throw his controller out with the recyclable! When we pretend it’s only for so long until the truth catches up to us. And it will, which will then cause feelings to be hurt and an argument to erupt.
Be open minded and willing to learn or try new things, but don’t fake an interest just to get on his good side. You can still respect their interests even if they aren’t of interest to you. Always be authentic and keep it real with your significant other.
Have you ever faked an interest in something?

so very true!
Nope, I dont fake my interest in things anymore! That’s the great thing about getting older, you really stop giving an ish about a lot of things. You realise that life is too short and life is too short to be fake/or fake interest in anything!
