B.A.D. Girl Lifestyle Tip: Stop Competing with Others
We have all done it at some point in our lives: We compare or compete with others as a way to gauge our own levels of success. I know I constantly find myself struggling with this and have learned to take that energy and focus it inward. I have stopped “competing” with others and have started competing with myself.
Instead of submitting to the temptation to compare myself to someone else I ask myself a set of questions:
- What am I doing today that I couldn’t have done 5, 3, or even 1 year ago?
- What have I done or am doing to move my life in a new direction?
- How have I continued to become a new and improved version of myself?
We have to stop worrying about what others are doing better and instead concentrate on beating our own personal records everyday. We all have our own unique path and comparing our journey to someone else’s is not smart or logical. If you are working towards what you want with determination than it doesn’t matter if someone else may have gotten their first. Your time will come and it will be just as good if not better. I promise.
Do you catch yourself competing or comparing?

I compare myself with everyone. I was born with lymfangioma it’s a good tumor to my lymfnodes. I find myself really ugly and think I don’t deserve anything in this world. But then again I always think God knows whats beautiful and he made me the way i am rn. It could be worse. Therefore I am so grateful for everyone and everything I have in my life and enjoy it. Cause ull never know what tomorrow brings. Btw it would mean alot if you’d follow me or check out my blog 🙂

I do this all of the time. Mostly, I’m wanting to see what someone else is wearing or reading about what someone else my age, or younger than me has achieved…it just happens. I try to take it as ‘tips’ when comparing myself to others. Love your suggestions!
