It’s so easy to get caught up in our day to day lives that we can neglect what is most important and that’s ourselves. I am challenging you to do at least ONE thing that your future self will thank you for. Here are few ideas in case you need some help!
- Go to the gym/workout for at least 30 minutes
- Start on your business plan
- Eat a clean meal
- Tell that person how you honestly feel
- Get a full nights rest
- Buy that domain name you came up with
- Stick up for yourself
- Start a gratitude journal
- Read the first chapter of a book
- Do something fun or unexpected
I am going to work out, eat clean and get a full nights rest today because I slacked off this weekend. HARD.
What are you going to do today?

I determined first thing this morning that I am getting in bed early tonight, reading a book and getting a good nights rights.
Getting to bed early was on my list too! Hope you succeeded! xo
Ok, for me that means picking up my German book to learn some freakn’ German, which is long overdue after living here for 2 yrs…
Do it! I am “learning” Spanish and have been slacking on my daily practice but I always feel better after just 20 minutes of time devoted to it. You can do it!
Well I much rather be learning Spanish, I’ll tell you that. But thanks for the words of encouragement!
Hell yeah – to the workouts, I’ve been a total slacker myself!
Same here, I went in on Monday and then was in too much pain to continue Tuesday. I am back at the gym today tho!
I’ve been standing up for myself alot lately, through and simultaneous to standing up for my mother to her health care providers. Today I did, to this a–hole:
http://la-screenwriter.com/2014/04/01/ask-la-screenwriter-abusing-your-network/
I had sent her a private email about this, then she responds in the most condescending, and nasty manner. A response filled with assumption that, one I have no talent, and two no network. It couldn’t have been something else because I guess every other writer is small in her eyes. The funny thing is, I think this narcissism is a society problem. If it’s not a company, hospital, or something else, it can be common people we meet and think it’s worth to trust.
I definitely think women should practice standing up for themselves and not always being nice to the detriment of themselves. Probably why I love your blog.
Anyway, what will be your unexpected thing for today? 🙂
