Sally Hansen Salon Effects Product Review: Aint Nuttin’ But a Glitter Party.

I finally got my hands (literally) on the Sally Hansen Salon Effects nail polish strips! They are actual strips of real nail polish  that you stick on and fit to your nails.  The best part is that you don’t have to wait for your nails to dry! I don’t know about you, but that is my least favorite part of a manicure, especially when I rush and wind up smudging a freshly done nail. AN-NOY-ING. Each kit contains 16 different sized strips so that you can fit them to your nails. All you have to do is peel the back, fit it to your nail, smooth it out and then file off the remainder of the strip.  It’s so easy even a cave man could do it. No messy nail polish all over your skin; no wasting time while drying, just a straight up party on your nails in under 15 minutes. I’m wit it. Overall, I give the strips an 8 out of 10. They have been on my nails for over 2 weeks. My one complaint …

I DIE! I received word from Jeffrey Campbell‘s PR people that the rumors are true. He IS launching a bag line for 2011 and these images were released as a teaser for all of us JC Girls out there. I can only imagine how dope the collection will be. I picture the bags  looking completely different from what is currently out on the market. I will definitely be coppin’ a bag once they hit stores.  🙂 Full Campaign lauch will be coming soon and you best believe I will blog all the goodness! What do you think? Are you excited about the new JC Bag collection?

If Your Pillows Could Talk…

Be (B)eautiful: “Most People commonly refer to me as THE Gangsta of LOVE.” Be (A)uthentic: “Let’s Keep it real. You know I am so clutch when a cutie comes over and sees me chillin’ on your bed. Don’t think you are the only one with game boo!” Be (D)etermined: “Seriously, don’t you dare think about sitting on that couch. Put the remote down and your sneakers on. Get your ass to the gym!” Seriously how smart is this idea? I want all of them please, especially the one about the gym! The pillows are handmade with recycled felt applique by designer Alexandra Ferguson and sold at her Etsy Shop. Check out her other designs too HERE. What would your pillow say if it could talk??!

BAD Girl Trend: Let’s Get Laced Up!

My favorite thing about  Fall/Winter fashion is being able to rock a great pair of boots.  This season I have been obsessed with lace up combat boots.  I don’t think you can visit a shoe department with out seeing a pair. They can be dressed up or down and there are so many styles to choose from. Combat boots have always been associated with being tough and I love that about them. I have 3 pairs and counting. You can check out my blue ones from Doll House that I rocked with a skirt and knit tights HERE.  I will be posting pics of  my new  military inspired Guess pair next week! Get your dose and SHOP the Boots: 1. Amery Brown Stud Collar Boots – Top Shop £68.00 2. Dune Tenessee Cleated Sole Lace up Boots – Asos $170 3. Canvas Combat Boots – Nasty Gal $68 4. The Jeffrey Campbell Spring/Summer 2011 Collection is a total Shoegasm!

Jeffrey Campbell is definitely one of the most innovative and original  American shoe designers and his Spring/Summer 2011 collection does not fail to please! The inspiration behind the ‘Small Town Hero’ lookbook came from the fans and clients who love JC all over the world. Jeffrey Campbell wanted to showcase how fashion is prevalent everywhere not just in big cities like New York and LA, but even in the small towns that go unnoticed. I absolutely LOVE the collection and would buy every shoe if I could afford to do so! I was having a total shoegasm just looking through all the images and fantasizing about how much fun I could have pairing outfits to each shoe. Every shoe has its own personality and I love that. I chose my favorites from the collection to show case here, and boy was it difficult! If you want to view the complete lookbook or check out where you can buy a pair of JC beauties check out their site HERE. *** Solestruck is doing a Jeffrey Campbell GIVEAWAY CONTEST to celebrate the release of …

LANVIN AND H&M PRESENTED A “HAUTE COUTURE” RUNWAY SHOW IN NEW YORK CITY

“It’s such a fantastic experience to see how creatively Alber Elbaz uses his designs to form a couture experience for our exclusive fashion show in New York. Working with this incredibly gifted designer has been like an ongoing fashion moment, and we’re thrilled to offer his masterpieces to our customers.” Margareta van den Bosch, creative advisor at H&M. Last night at The Pierre Hotel in New York City H&M and French fashion house Lanvin presented their new and  quite possibly most anticipated designer collaboration collection with a fabulous jaw dropping runway show.  The haute couture creations, which were customized pieces from the Lanvin for H&M collection, made their way down the catwalk. The setting for the show was decorated with beautiful flowers, greenery, and trees. I may be biased because I am a huge fan of Lanvin, but I am smitten! I LOVE the printed tights, green lipstick, bows, the sunglasses, the masculinity of a few of the looks, the Parisian flair and the edginess of everything! This last picture (above) with the two models …
