On January 19th I started an 8 week fitness challenge hosted by the amazing Katy Hearn. She is an insta-famous fitness trainer well known for her amazing glutes that she built on her own in the gym! I have always been relatively slim but thanks to college living and alcohol I put on a solid 30 pounds. Since college I have been trying to lose the same 10/15 pounds for what feels like forever. I know 10 pounds isn’t a huge number but it does make a drastic difference for someone my size. I’ve cleaned up my eating over the years but I have not been consistent in the gym. Signing up for this challenge was exactly what I needed to get into a routine at the gym and finally make a consistent effort. Hey B.A.D. Girls! Wow! I really had to dust off the cobwebs on my WordPress account. They have made a ton of changes since I posted last year. Yikes! I’ve been MIA from not only the blog but real life too. I made the decision to make 2015 more about ME. I needed to take a time out and really focus on what I could do to feel good about myself and where I am at in life at the moment. B.A.D. Girl Tip: Eat, Drink and Feel Happy

It’s that time of year where there will be plenty of opportunities to indulge.  My secret for enjoying the holiday season and all the guilty pleasures that come along with it is easy. I do whatever is going to make me feel good and I focus my energy on the positive versus the negative. I feel good about that piece of pie because it was exactly what I wanted. I don’t shame myself for having seconds on Thanksgiving but instead practice gratitude for being lucky enough to have a meal to enjoy. I also make it a point to not participate in those after holiday discussions where people share all that they ate and how bad they feel about it. I don’t need to feel guilt because I am doing nothing wrong. When you feel good about your decisions you are rewarded with an equally good outcome (i.e. no increase on that scale). If I told you how long it has been since I got a new pair of glasses you might be scared to know what the heck I have been wearing. Thankfully, I was asked by Firmoo.com to do a product/service review. Woo-hoo! I selected these rectangular frame eyeglasses, which come in both black and tortoise. Pros: Really affordable prices Quick turnaround time Glasses are nice quality The virtual try-on is very helpful Comes with a hard case, cleaning cloth and an additional fabric carrying case Cons: Would have liked more fashion-forward options The lenses I chose were supposed to help with the way that my eyes appear smaller due to my prescription but I did not notice a difference. I am finally back with my current beauty favorites! I don’t normally wear much makeup in the summer, but when I do I have really been loving these products, especially the lippies! Here are my thoughts on each. EYES: Maybelline Color Tattoo Eyeshadow – Bad To The Bronze, $6.99 One of my fav beauty vloggers Amanda Ensing influenced this purchase and I loveee it. The staying power is insane and I love the beautiful shimmery bronze color. The product is very buildable and it’s exactly what I needed for when I want to glam up my natural/brown makeup look. NYX Pin-Up Tease Mascara, $5.99 I have super long and unruly lashes especially the ones at the outer corners of my eyelids and the wand on this mascara does exactly as it promises. It’s designed to separate and curl your lashes. The brush size is smaller than I am used to but it works so good. My only complaint is that it is hard to fully take off without the use of makeup remover. LIPS: Milani Lipstick- …
