B.A.D. Girl Beauty Tip: 5 Ways To Fill in Your Eyebrows

I couldn’t’ agree more with the above quote; I always feel like a new woman when my eyebrows are on point. Ever since I discovered the wonders of filling in my very light, barely there brows I just don’t feel complete without them, especially when I am putting on a full face of makeup. Your eyebrows really do make a huge difference and filling them in takes them to the next level! Your first step is to figure out the perfect shape for your face and then you need to figure out which way you like to fill them in because each technique creates a different look. 1. Brow Pencil: This is one of the most basic ways to fill in your brows. Brow pencils come in varying shades and have a waxier formula than eyeliner pencils. This allows them to go on naturally and smoothly, without the risk of harsh lines so don’t try using your eyeliner! I personally use MAC’s self sharpening eyebrow pencil in Lingering ($16).  When applying use short, light strokes to …

B.A.D. Girl Beauty: My Top Tips for Achieving a Perfect Blow Out

This post contains sponsored content in collaboration with Unilever and Latina Bloggers Connect I taught myself to blow dry my own hair and after many years of practice I like to think I have mastered the art of blow drying. I  want to share with you all my personal styling tips for achieving results and helping to maintain your blow out. So here we go! Apply a Smoothing Serum to towel dried hair I really like the Keratin Infusing Smoothing Serum from TRESemme. It smells good, eliminates frizz and leaves my hair smooth and shiny without feeling greasy. Start by coating the ends and working your way up the hair shaft. Don’t apply too much and concentrate on dry spots. Air It Out Allow your hair to air dry for a bit (15-30 mins depending on hair thickness) or if you are in a hurry use your blow dryer to remove excess moisture. This will cut your drying time down significantly. Separate Your Hair Divide combed hair into sections and secure with hair clips. I …

B.A.D. Girl Beauty Review: BA STAR Stardust Mineral Eye Shadow

BA Star Makeup specializes in creating products for chicas who are active and need makeup with staying power.  They sent me their Stardust Mineral Eye Shadow in Apricot and a  Body Shimmer Base that you apply to the area in which you want to add shimmer (or shadow) and this is what gives it the lasting wear. Its basically a sweat proof primer made to last all day! So I decided to test their products (made for performance) out by wearing them to the gym while I did my 2 mile run on the treadmill.   Here are my before and after the gym photos. Nothing changed except my skin got a lot more red lol. My eye makeup barely smudged though! Pros: Shadow colors are very pretty and affordable at only $8.75. The Shimmer Base helps the mineral shadow stay in place all day. Perfect for those long days when you go from work to play. Easy to remove. Cons: The shimmer base glue made applying the mineral shadow not as “smooth” as I am …

B.A.D. Girl Beauty Review: Philip Kingsley Styling and UV Protection Products

It’s so important to protect yourself from UV rays and most of us probably forget about our hair, right?! I know I did until I was introduced to hair care brand Philip Kingsley. which has an awesome line of products to protect your hair from sun damage. These products are especially good for you ladies who color your hair because the sun will definitely strip or change the color of your locks. I am mildly obsessed so I had to post a review. Philip Kingsley Maximizer ($22): This hair spray maximizes volume, body and bounce. I spray it on my roots and get nice volume. It also adds a decent hold and shine and contains the UV protector. Philip Kingsley Preen Cream ($34): This styling cream protects, seals and adds shine. Its perfect for smoothing out dry ends which I love. Its lightweight and contains the UV protector too! Philip Kingsley Weatherproof Hairspray ($29): This hairspray is a must have for color treated hair since it helps protect against sun damage and extends the life …

Whipped Curls Daily: Whipped Curls is a thick, dense daily conditioner that’s so luxurious it delights at first touch. Its rich, sensorial texture glides on hair and envelopes curls in deeply hydrating nutrients to elevate the moisture factor within the hair cuticle.{Ouidad} Pros: Makes a great conditioning treatment Made my hair feel softer Smells fantastic Cons: When used as a primer it made my hair feel a bit greasy Because the …
