Anthropologie ‘Made In Kind’ Event

I along with my blogger boo Erin of Spikes & Sequins attended a fun event in honor of Anthropologies ‘Made in Kind’ Karen Walker collection, called ‘Hi There’.  We were supposed to get a chance to meet Karen Walker in the flesh, but sadly I think we missed her! The collection itself is really cute and very similar to Karen Walkers signature line, but at a much better price!  The collection is full of cheeky prints and bright fun colors. I loved the cute octopus tee paired with the polka dot skirt! There was a  Valentine’s Day inspired candy station so we made sure to stock up on some sweets. They also served  chilled Prosecco, had a fun Valentine’s Day themed photo booth and a DJ blasting tunes to keep the vibe cool and chill. We had a good time and tried really hard not to shop! Erin and I did NOT plan to both have neon legs for the event, but we did and it was pretty awesome. I was also rocking my new leather biker …

Refinery 29 Brought Tinseltown to Soho

Last week I along with blogger pals Kimberlee and Laura attended Tinseltown, a shopping event hosted by Refinery 29 that featured some really cool brands. The companies featured allowed for a variety of  gift ideas for all of the different people in your life. They had everything from jewelry to fashion scarves and clothes to gifts for the entertainer all the way down to even the littlest of  fashionistas. I really liked the company WOOL And The GANG who make super cool DIY  kits that allow you to create your own pieces made out of beautiful Peruvian yarn. You can also buy gorgeous ready to wear pieces too! Gorgeous Scarves from YARNZ Super bad ass necklaces  from Lulu Frost (above) and a dope bracelet from Bing Bang (below)  More gorgeous pieces from Lulu Frost Jewelry Fun gift items for the gal/guy who loves to drank and entertain guests! Super soft buttery leather goods. Yum! The  little baby clothes were beyond adorable! Laura and I loved how sharp the bartenders were dressed. They were serving up cocktails all night. The spiked …

EFFEN Vodka Art of Design Event

On Wednesday I had the pleasure of attending the EFFEN® Vodka Art of Design event at the Empire Rooftop in NYC with my girl Kimberlee! The AOD event featured top local mixologists who competed to design the best EFFEN® Vodka martini and guests got to walk around and sample the tasty concoctions. We also got to vote for our favorites by placing marbles in an empty vodka bottle at the table of each team. My favorite was the the drink made by the blue team (photo below) with cherry flavored EFFEN® Vodka. It tasted like candy!  The EFFEN® brand is inspired by the elements of design so they featured different designers at the event like Orly Shani from the TV show fashion star! They also had local NYC jewelry designer Brianna Fano showcasing some of her new jewelry pieces made with real leather.  I loved the collar necklaces. They were so dope! I rocked my new satin tribal print pants by Guess and a comfy white tee paired with Zara flats. Kimberlee went for a hipster/punk look with a …

“A Luxury Affair” with the MOB Wives of VH1

I attended a taping for VH1’s MOB Wives on Tuesday at J’adore Lounge in NYC hosted by 5 Promotions and LaVue PR.  It was quite an experience to get a taste of “reality” TV.  Renee Graziano and Ramona Rizzo were the two “wives” in attendance partying it up with Cherry Martinez from Power 105.1.  I wish Big Ang would have shown up! I invited my girls Kimberlee and Erin to cover the event with me!  We all had such cute nail polish colors so a photo was necessary!  Do any of you watch MOB Wives? Maybe you will catch me on an episode next season!  xx

H&M Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Collection & Pop-Up Shop

H&M is at it again with their latest collection designed by costume designer Trish Summerville of the upcoming novel turned movie “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.” The collection is inspired and based on main character Lisbeth Salander and what she would wear of course. The jackets are pretty dope and  H&M prices are always a steal! I’m obsessed with the denim jacket w/leather sleeves. Leather sleeves are HUGE right now! If you are in NYC and diggin the collection be sure to visit the H&M Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Pop-Up Shop, which will exclusively carry the entire collection! Where: 72 Gansevoort Street  (between Washington & Greenwich Streets) When: December 14th-16th from 12pm-10pm daily H&M will also be providing guests with a complimentary coffee bar, computer hacking activation’s, an on-site photo booth and showing never before seen official extended film trailers. Katherine Kwei Spring/Summer 2012 Preview

I had the pleasure of attending a press preview for handbag designer Katherine Kwei not too long ago thanks to my girl Kimberlee.  Her designs are so unique and inspired by the Chinese eternity knot, which can be seen in many of her bags (photo above).  Her Spring/Summer 2012 collection is inspired by the beautiful Polynesian islands. You can see this in her color choices, right? I am obsessed with this bag. It def won as my favorite of the collection! Its the Donna Sling Bag. Peep the eternity knot detail at the bottom of the bag. Kimberlee posed for a photo with the smaller Donna clutch! The very talented Lacee Swan was at the event sketching water color painted drawings  of guests with a Katherine Kwei Bag from the SS 2012 collection. How cute did my sketch come out? She drew my knuckle ring chain and all! I opted for the fringe bag for my sketch; its the style she is most known for too!  They also had a coloring contest to win a free bag! …

{Versace x H&M} I Got My Hands on a Leather!

I was meant to have this jacket. And I say this because I was literally at the right place at the right time when a girl decided not to purchase this baby and left it at the table I was standing near. I could not believe my lucky stars. I still had 2 hours until it was my turn to shop the collection and by 8:30 am I had what I set out for. Total effing win! I am really impressed with the quality of this collection. The leather feels butter soft and the wool, cashmere and silk are all really nice too compared to what you normally get at H&M. It was def worth the extra bucks! How friggen adorable is this leather mini bag?!  I can’t even lie to you guys and front like I got up super early and waited on line for hours. I want to say I waited for about 2 hours until the doors opened at 8am. I opted to hit up an H&M on the upper east side …

Photo Diary: Watch The Throne

I went to see Jay-Z and Kanye on saturday night after my visit to the Ouidad salon in Manhattan. My curls came out pretty poppin, which they haven’t been in a LONG time. My hair so curly, that shit cray! (Ill be posting a full review on Ouidad soon!) The concert was so dope! Jay-Z  is still the man and Kanye was the man…in a skirt! He def had on a leather skirt over leather leggings. Peep the last pic and tell me what you see?? They did all their hits off the new album Watch the Thrown and of course individual sets too. They made sure to leave us all wishing we were in Paris, ballin so hard… Anyone else seen the show? Or going to be seeing it? xx
