I am excited to be participating in a weekly Polyvore outfit challenge hosted by ModCloth as part of their Uniquely You campaign!  This weeks featured item is the ‘Twirl Next Door Dress‘, a striped retro inspired piece in black and cream. Weekend Warrior by stylemebad featuring a golden earring When I saw this dress I immediately thought of weekend brunches and running around New York City on a beautiful day so that is where my inspiration for putting the outfit together came from. B.A.D. Girl Style: All Neutral Everything

This past weekend I had the honor of attending a graduation party for one of my sorority sisters who achieved her goal of obtaining her Doctorate by the age of 30! This is such a killer accomplishment and to reach it at such a young age is even more amazing! I am so proud of my beautiful friend Dr. Marquez and all that she will do to help change and shape the world! I apologize for the lack in photo quality as these were taken in dim lighting with my phone but I just had to share this amazing accomplishment and my outfit of course! You can get the look for under $100! Get the Look: Skirt in Black Here, Crop Top Here, Shoes Here, Cuff Bracelet Here I pretty much stuck with neutral shades for this outfit where I normally may have thrown in a pop of color. My lipstick was even in a nude shade! My outfit was super affordable since I got my top and skirt from Tobi which offer 50% of your first order with them! …

B.A.D. Girl Style: Spring/Summer Footwear Trend to Skip

Okay so I normally don’t mention trends that I don’t like on here because I don’t even care to mention them but this ugly shoe trend has got to stop! Designers like Celine, Prada and Marc Jacobs have made this footwear trend acceptable and it has hit mainstream in full force. I keep seeing so many of my favorite bloggers rocking Birkenstocks and it makes me want to cry! I am all about comfort, but I wont go this far until I am at least 80 yrs old and even then I may reconsider.  I don’t care how much you embellish these things I find them terrible. And don’t get me started on the sport slides.  I thought this was more of a street wear trend until I saw that designers were styling resort collections with these things. You have got to be kidding me! Wearing Adidas sport slides as part of your outfit is acceptable? Stop it. Leave them for the athletes and college students who wear them to class with sweats and socks. I cant. What do you think of this trend? …

B.A.D. Girl Spring Trend: Slip-On Sneakers

This is probably my favorite shoe trend of the season because its an easy shoe to style. You can rock them with jeans and a blazer for the office or pair them with a cute dress for weekend brunch dates. I haven’t decided on the pair that I want yet and because I am an entrepreneur on a budget I have to choose the most versatile. I am however,  leaning towards the Steve Maddens since I don’t have Miu Miu money just yet. Steve Madden ECTRC-C in Snake, $99.95 Steve Madden ECCENTRIC in Leopard, $99.95 Vans classic slip-on in Metallic Leather, $60 Mother of Pearl printed canvas slip-ons, $370 Saint Laurent Pinaskullada in Pink/Black, $395 MIU MIU leather point toe slips-ons in Black, $490 Ash studded low tops in white, $142 Would you rock this trend? xoxo Nicole Let’s Connect:  Bloglovin’  Facebook  Twitter  Instagram   Youtube   Shop

MyTee B.A.D. Clothing Featured on Elvis Duran and The Morning Show

“If you want to add some edge to your style check out MyTeeBAD.  Not only do they have great accessories but the name of the company has a cool meaning BAD stands for “Beautiful, Authentic, and Determined”. The call it the B.A.D. Girl movement! I love that! If you think you’re beautiful, authentic, and determined then you need to shop their items. Beanies, hand chains, bracelets, and tee shirts but I’m loving their turband headbands. I have a one with money on it! There’s one with Barbie & Ken images! It’s really great stuff at a reasonable price!” @TheCarlaMarie  I still can’t believe that my clothing line MyTee B.A.D. was talked about on one of the top radio morning shows in the country! I am so honored to have been featured as a cool company to check out for their popular “What’s Trending” segment! If you aren’t familiar the Elvis Duran Morning Show is pretty much the best radio show here in New York and it is syndicated nationwide too! The hosts are hysterical and I highly recommend them for your morning commute. I would like to …

B.A.D. Girl Style: Weekend Casual

I would be lying if I didn’t say that this is probably my everyday uniform. My personal style revolves around being comfortable. I live in a tee, jeans and comfy shoes.  I love to add unique elements and touches to make my outfits my own because being comfortable doesn’t mean you can’t be stylish, right? I took these photos while exploring Brooklyn, NY after visiting with my screen printer. My boyfriend and I were really digging the vibe and are definitely going to look into BK when we begin our apartment hunt later this year! That same day we also made a quick trip up to the Riverdale section of the Bronx to visit his grandmother and fell in love with the scenery. It was a gorgeous day out and we were literally staring at the Hudson River. I just love New York! P.S. Thanks to all who entered my giveaway! Winner will be announced on Friday!! What is your weekend style? B.A.D. Girl Trend: Snake Print as a Neutral

Stella McCartney Swim Suit | Zara Flats | Jason Wu Top | H&M Slip-ons | EVLEO Pants | Tory Burch Handbag | DVF Heels | Leopard print has always been my go-to for many years . However, snake print is really catching my eye lately and I think it is going to be my new obsession for the season. I like to work prints like leopard or snake into my outfits by looking at them as a neutral piece that can be paired with almost anything. If you stick to a natural, grey or black color with your snake print the item will be much more versatile.  Its fun to take a simple outfit like jeans and a tee and then throw on snake print shoes or a bag to take your look from casual to casual-chic. My one “rule” that I stick to with prints is that I don’t double up on it, which means I wont rock snake print shoes and a snake print bag at the same time. Its way too matchy-matchy for me. What’s your favorite print for Spring? XOXO …

B.A.D. Girl Spring 2014 Footwear Trend: Mules

Sophia Webster, $541    | Rag & Bone, $550  | Jessica Simpson, $98   | Tanya Taylor  | Aldo, $100  |  Alexander Wang, $525  |  Steve Madden, $99 | Fendi, $990 I’ll admit when I first saw this footwear trend popping up on the runway I was a bit turned off, but it appears I am growing up because I actually really like it. I used to think of mules as shoes only older ladies would wear, but the fashion gods have made me a believer. What I like about this shoe style  is that it can be dressed up or down. I love me a versatile shoe and  I am lusting real hard on the NONSTP by Steve Madden. I gotta have them! Would you rock this trend? xo Nicole Let’s Connect:  Bloglovin’  Facebook  Twitter  Instagram   Youtube   Shop
