B.A.D Girl Commandments for Achieving Success

Be (B)eautiful: Thou shall Stick to Thy Word. Personal Integrity means maintaining a commitment to your actual commitment! It’s about setting a goal and keeping your promise to achieve it… end of story! Be (A)uthentic: Thou Shall NOT be like Everybody Else. The main difference between successful people and others are the goals they choose to pursue. Be (D)etermined: Thou Shall Write that Shit Down. Goals that are not written down fall victim to the “out of sight, out of mind” phenomenon and are never to be seen or heard from again. Writing your goals helps you to visualize and materialize your idea better. It brings your idea to life. Your Mantra: “Thou Shall Think, Act & Be a BAWSE”    How is your goal setting and achieving going?

I’ve Never Seen a Smiling Face that Wasn’t Beautiful

Be (B)eautiful:  Yellow polish is a huge summer beauty trend.  There are so many different shades to pick from to match your skin complexion. Have you brightened up your nails yet? Be (A)uthentic: A B.A.D Girl says whats on her mind when it’s the truth and it needs to be said; a mean girl says whats on her mind to hurt others. Be (D)etermined: Write down your goals for the day, week, month whatever, and put them in plain sight. It is good to have a daily reminder of where you want to be staring you in the face to keep you focused.

Would the 5 year old you be proud of the person you are now?

Be (B)eautiful: One of the things I dislike most about growing up is losing touch with the magic of  childhood innocence and imagination. When you are young the world is your oyster and every dream you have can and will come true. You know that you can be anything in the world: a doctor, singer, astronaut, model, CEO,  or even the president of the United States. So what changes that we lose sight of these goals and dreams we had for ourselves as children?  My answer? Reality. Yeah, Okay, so their isn’t a genie who grants our wish for a dream job after college and the perfect guy isn’t going to find us because we left a glass stiletto at the club. If life was that easy the feeling of success wouldn’t taste as good. One way that I handle feeling discouraged is to look back at photos of myself as a child. There is something so powerful about this that I can’t describe.  Looking back at that little innocent girl that I once was …

Inspiration Board for 2011 done B.A.D Girl Style!

Happy 2011 B.A.D Girls!! I hope you all had a wonderful time ringing in the new year! So once your hangover subsided were you able  to think about what you want to accomplish this year? I don’t really believe too much in resolutions, but prefer setting goals for myself. This weekend I took some time to really think about where I want to be when 2011 comes to a close. Here are some photos from my night of INSPIRATION. When deciding on my goals for 2011 I obviously made sure they were inline with being a B.A.D Girl! Be (B)eautiful: inside and out. Be (A)uthentic: true to yourself, Real, Original Be (D)etermined: Go after what you want and get it, achieve your goals Here are a few of my current goals for the first half of 2011! Be (B)eautiful: Get it right, get it tight! Back in the gym for a minimum of 3 days a week. Snack Smarter. Cut out unnecessary snacking and late night eating. Make a difference. Get out and volunteer more. …

“Life is like a coin. You can spend it any way you wish, but you only spend it once.” ~Lillian Dickson

Be (B)eautiful: I strongly believe that the day you stop dreaming is the day you stop living. Be (A)uthentic: I absolutely love this article:  10 Ways to Be the Person You Wanted to Be as a Kid Be (D)etermined: If you aren’t happy with your outfit you change it. If going to a club isn’t your ideal Friday night then you make other plans. So what do you do when your current relationship isn’t what you want? You make a change that’s what! Evaluate your relationship. Is it you, your partner or your current situation that is making things difficult? Figure it out and fix it. Approach relationships the same way you handle everyday life. If it’s not making you happy, is it really worth it?

How to make the most of your current work/job situation.

Be (B)eautiful: The best way to feel better about my day, especially when I am at work is to take the extra time in the morning to look good. When I feel good physically, I am much more cheerful, productive and confident in my work.  So take the 10 minutes to put on some make up, pick out a cute outfit or if your job is very conservative throw on sexy panties to rock under those slacks. 😉 Be (A)uthentic: Not all of us are fortunate to be working our dream jobs… right now. However, if you are lucky enough to have one that pays you and keeps you surviving than stop complaining. My thing is work harder for something better or shut up. There are too many people struggling who would kill to have your job or any job for that matter. So be grateful and do your best each and every day. Be (D)etermined: Try making a list of things you need to get done for that day. I promise that you will feel so good …

Help someone remain a survivor, support TWLOHA and always be your own biggest fan.

Be (B)eautiful: This past Saturday was the 12th annual National Survivors of Suicide Day. The day represents a time for people who have lost loved ones to suicide to come together and find healing. My love goes out to anyone who has ever lost someone because of suicide. I recently had a classmate from High school commit suicide this year. It’s important that you be as supportive and understanding of those people in your life. You never know what someone may be going through and really need someone to just listen to them. I just purchased this tee-shirt to support the non-profit organization To Write Love on Her Arms. TWLOHA is dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide.  They are a positive movement to help support, inspire, inform and encourage those who need it most. Visit their website HERE. Be (A)uthentic: “Never be bullied into silence.  Never allow yourself to be made a victim.  Accept no one’s definition of your life; define yourself.”  ~Harvey Fierstein Be (D)etermined: Never let the …

Today’s Menu: Designer Party Dresses, Originality and a very important job search and interview tip!

Be (B)eautiful: There is nothing I love more than a dress. It is quite possibly my favorite item of clothing to wear because it’s just one piece! Trying to pair an outfit together can sometimes lead to a major headache for me. I always want my outfit to be perfect, especially on special occasions.  So with the holidays rapidly approaching I have been browsing for some super fab party dresses. These are a few that had me drooling at the mouth. Be (A)uthentic: Food for thought: “You’ve gotta be original, because if you’re like someone else, what do they need you for?” ~Bernadette Peters Be (D)etermined: Cater your resume to the job description! I can’t stress this point enough. It’s imperative that you cater your resume to each position you apply for. Yes, it takes more time than sending the same resume to 100’s of jobs, but you’re far better off applying to a fraction of those jobs with a resume specifically written for each job. Put yourself in the interviewer’s shoes. Their job is …

How to: Keep your thoughts positive, ask questions and make sure you sing at the top of your lungs!

Be (B)eautiful: I absolutely love blasting my favorite song of the moment, singing at the top of my lungs and not caring about what anyone thinks. Its my way of releasing any stress I may have bottled up inside. It also helps to  put me  in an automatic good mood. 🙂 Be (A)uthentic: “Our thoughts create our reality; where we put our focus is the direction we tend to go”  by Peter McWilliams. This quote is oh so true. Its important to keep positive thoughts in and kick negative ones to the gutter! Be (D)etermined: A good question to ask on an interview is “Why is the position currently available?” Your intentions in asking this question is to get insight as to whether this will be a good job for you. The interviewer might tell you that the previous person wasn’t comfortable cold calling and being rejected. If this is the case for you as well then it can help you decide whether or not to accept the position if/when it’s offered to you.  They …
