NCLA Nail Wraps Product Review

I was reallllyy excited to finally order these NCLA nails wraps (via Shop Jeen) since I have been eying them for a minute. Plus, I am a huge fan of designer Melody Eshani. Here is what I thought of ’em! Pros: Awesome designs that are different than what is currently out there. You can probably get at least 2-3 wears out of the set- comes with 2 full sheets I got major compliments- even strangers stopped to ask about them! They stayed put while washing my hair! Taking them off was super easy; they literally peeled right off like stickers. Cons: The nail wraps seemed to be designed for longer nails. I had a hard time getting the best part of each design to fit entirely on my nail so I had to cut the bottom part of each sticker to fit them properly. The wraps don’t lay on to the nail as nicely as the real polish strips by Sally Hansen. It took me a good 2 hours to do my nails with trying …

They recently sent me their just launched  Curl Recovery products to try out so here is what I thought of them after just one use. Ultra Nurishing Cleansing Oil: Ultra Nourishing Cleansing Oil is a foaming, water-activated cleanser with an advanced oil base that gently removes dirt and build-up while restoring essential moisture.{Ouidad} Pros: Lathered up really quickly and was easy to massage into my scalp Smells absolutely amazing I immediately saw a difference after one use Sulfate & Paraben Free Cons: NONE! My Winter Skincare Routine

I mentioned in a previous post how I was switching up my skin care routine so I can face the winter (literally) here in New York. I am happy I did because it has been super cold out and going from single digit temperatures outdoors to a room/car with blasting heat is no bueno for my already problem skin. So here is what I have been doing to keep my skin moisturized and flake free. 1. Dior Cleansing Milk: This is my daily face cleanser that I use twice a day. 2. Origins Modern Friction: I use this 1-2 per week to help exfoliate and refresh my skin. 3. F.A.B. Instant Oatmeal Mask: I use this 2-3 per week to help combat dryness. 4. Ultra Repair Cream: This cream is awesome and is my daily day/night moisturizer. 5.  Urban Decay De-Slick Spray: I put this on before my moisturizer to help combat shine. 6. F.A.B. Lip Therapy: This is a kick ass lip balm that kind of tastes like chamomile tea. All of the products …

Be Beautiful: Say Goodbye to Dry Skin – 7 Winter Skincare Tips

Your wardrobe changes from season to season and so should your skin care routine. As soon as we turn on the heat indoors our skin starts to dry out so its important that we take the necessary steps to keep our skin soft and flake free. Here are my top tips for battling itchy dry skin this season: Avoid hot showers and limit your time spent in them. Hot water strips your skin of its natural oils. Use warm water instead. Look for lotions containing “humectants,” a class of substances (including glycerine, sorbitol, and alpha-hydroxy acids) that attract moisture to your skin. Avoid using harsh peels, masks, and alcohol-based toners or astringents. Use face masks that are “deeply hydrating,” rather than clay-based, which tends to draw moisture out of the face. Use a face serum in addition to your daily moisturizer Switch up your face wash for a cleansing milk or mild foaming cleanser. Invest in a humidifier to increase  moisture in the air.  Another solution is to place bowls of water in the room …

I suffer from oily a$$ skin and have realized that gel products work way better for my skin so I am happy to share with you my new favorites. Ouidad Salon Series Launch!

If you follow me on Twitter you may already know that I attended the launch event for the awesome new “Salon Series” hair care line by Ouidad at Sephora in Times Square. If you are not familiar with Ouidad they predominately make products for curly haired gals, BUT this new collection was created for all hair types! Woop! At the launch event the head of marketing at Ouidad was there to teach us about the products. Here is what I learned about the  fabulous new line sold exclusively at Sephora! Mediterranean Bay Leaf Exfoliating Hair & Scalp Treatment:  In order to have healthy hair you need a healthy scalp so take care of it! This product will help cleanse your scalp while also adding nutrients to your roots to promote strong hair growth. So necessary! Omega 3 Replenishing Hair Treatment: This is a MUST have if you want to make your hair look shiny, hydrated and healthy. Its a hair-saver! Biotin Lightweight Reparative Hair Serum:  A leave-in hair serum that prevents breakage and repairs hair. This stuff …

Meet My New BFF Anastasia. She Is From Beverly Hills!

The team over at Anastasia of Beverly Hills sent me the Beauty Express Brow Kit in Brunette to try out and I am finally posting my product review!  The cool thing about this kit is it comes with stencils to help you achieve your ideal brow shape. It’s cool to change up your brows and have some fun with your look. I LOVE the full arch stencil for when my brows start to grow back in and get a lil crazy looking. It’s a life saver! The brow brush is also clutch in helping create nice lines for shaping your brows.  My only complaint is that I am a girl on the go and I need something smaller and easier to carry around, but I love it regardless!  Thank you for the kit ABH!  Do you fill in your eyebrows? What products do you use? More about Anastasia of Beverly Hills HERE

Target Shopping Haul

I made a quick stop at my local Target a few days ago and of course I ended up leaving with more than I planned for. I mentioned these leopard print pants in my last post and I love anything Hello Kitty + NEON!  Socks are also one of my obsessions as I mentioned HERE. How cute are these neon babies?  I have a major weakness for sunglasses and I like to buy cheap ones to experiment with different styles before I invest in a good pair.  I would have never thought round frames would look good on my face shape but these are mad cute!  Picked up some new nail polish strips in the beauty section. Spring Fever & Lust-Rous. I love these things. Have you tried them yet? Any fun new purchases? xx Nicole
