Twenty-Six for 26

Today is the 5th anniversary of my 21st BIRTHDAY! No, but seriously I can’t believe another year has passed and a new one is beginning. I have so much to be grateful for and I am looking forward to what this new year has in store for me. I think its going to be my best year yet! So since this is my special day I thought I would share with you all 26 things about myself that you may not know! In no particular order… 1. I could eat pizza every. single. day. 2. I enjoy animals from afar, not a big pet person. 3. I hate having a cell phone. 4. I have a passport with no stamps in it…YET! 5. I am becoming more and more like my mother… 6. My bf and I met online before it was socially acceptable to do so. 7. I almost attempted law school. 8. I wanted to be a sport agent when I went to college. 9. I love my alone time. 10. I miss …

I celebrated my birthday in Puerto Rico, which is one of my favorite places in the world.  We had perfect weather, delicious food and so much fun. There is nothing more relaxing or amazing than dining ocean side. We had brunch with the ocean just feet away from us.   I spent my actual birthday drinking plenty of rum on Icaco Beach, which is off the mainland of PR and accessible only by boat. I went snorkeling for the first time too! Oh how I miss la playa (the beach)… Now its back to the daily grind. Le Sigh. Have you ever celebrated your birthday in a different country? xx Nicole

Birthday Celebrations in Coral.

This past weekend was my sister Nina’s birthday. We celebrated at Sofrito, one of our favorite restaurants in NYC. They specialize in Puerto Rican and Latin American cuisine. The food is A-MAZE-ING. I  Had a great time with my family. During the winter most people shy away from color, especially bright bold colors. Typical winter clothing is full of muted, neutral tones and I wanted to play it up, so the coral color of my knit sweater did the trick. Most of the guests at the restaurant and even my sister decided to play it safe with black. The coral helped this BAD girl stand out in the crowd. Happy Birthday Sis! Do you add in bright colors to your winter wardrobe?
