The Bloggers Soiree Presents: Fashion is Never Bottomless Charity Fashion Show

I mentioned earlier this month in a previous post how I was a blodel (blogger +model) participating in the “Fashion is Never Bottomless” Charity Fashion Show to raise money for the wonderful Bottomless Closet Organization.  The event took place this past Monday, December 13th, at Club Soiree in New York City. I along with 18 other fabulous fashion/lifestyle bloggers took to the runway and rocked some amazing fashions by emerging designers: Gwen Beloti, Viva Aviva, Astrophel + Stella, Caycee Black, Hare + Hart and sample loans by Tracy Reese, Rebecca Taylor, and Dr. Jays. I walked for designer Hare + Hart and loved my downtown chic look. Hare + Hart specializes in designing leather products. My outfit was a hit and everyone absolutely loved all the beautiful leather (Jacket, Biker Gloves, Bag) all by Hare + Hart. So B.A.D! Make -up and hair were provided by MUD- Make-up Designory School. Ms. B. BAD along with fellow bloggers and Hare + Hart Designer Jennie Engelhardt (2nd from the right). Overall the event was a success and I …

“I don’t think you ever stop giving. I really don’t. I think it’s an on-going process. And it’s not just about being able to write a check. It’s being able to touch somebody’s life” ~ Oprah

Be (B)eautiful: I just purchased bracelets from http://www.beadforlife.org. This organization helps women in Uganda overcome poverty by providing them with the opportunity to sell their handmade beaded jewelry into the U.S. The stories of the beaders really inspired me. They have faced such difficult circumstances and still manage to prosper and smile. They are full of hope even when it seems like things wont get any better. The jewelry isn’t costly and its beautifully hand made from Africa. That is pretty awesome if you ask me. Be a (B)eautiful person and help someone else who most likely needs it way more than you do. Be (A)uthentic: Be original in the handmade jewelery I mentioned above. Not only will you be wearing a beautiful unique piece, but whenever someone asks you: “hey, where did you get that?’- you now have an amazing conversation starter. Be (D)etermined: Make a difference. If you want to do more than just purchase some jewelry on your own, why not host a BeadParty?! This is an awesome way to bring your …
