B.A.D. Girl Spring 2014 Footwear Trend: Mules

Sophia Webster, $541    | Rag & Bone, $550  | Jessica Simpson, $98   | Tanya Taylor  | Aldo, $100  |  Alexander Wang, $525  |  Steve Madden, $99 | Fendi, $990 I’ll admit when I first saw this footwear trend popping up on the runway I was a bit turned off, but it appears I am growing up because I actually really like it. I used to think of mules as shoes only older ladies would wear, but the fashion gods have made me a believer. What I like about this shoe style  is that it can be dressed up or down. I love me a versatile shoe and  I am lusting real hard on the NONSTP by Steve Madden. I gotta have them! Would you rock this trend? xo Nicole Let’s Connect:  Bloglovin’  Facebook  Twitter  Instagram   Youtube   Shop

Nolcha Fashion Week: Karo Swimwear Spring/Summer 2014 Runway Show Review

Karo Swimwear is the brainchild of Polish designer Kasia Roginska who launched her collection just this past January. She designs each piece to have built in jewelry and stones, which makes her swimsuits really pretty and unique. Her Spring 2014 collection was very eclectic and funky, which was really fun to see live. The line consisted mostly of monokinis and bikinis in bright fun colors with embellishments and sexy silhouettes. “My vision is to create something totally unique, a piece that’s not only a swimsuit. I want it to be a piece of art, something that makes woman feel elegant, edgy and sexy at the same time. Each piece has built in something that every female cherishes…jewelry.” ~Kasia RoginskaMy favorite swimsuit from the collection is called “Cleopatra” its the olive green suit with the embellished top (1st photo). I think its safe to say you have to be a daring and bold female to rock her sexy pieces because they are definitely more for show than for actual swimming! I loved how each models shoes matched their …

Why Buy Hackett Coats?

The fashion house Hackett is perhaps not as widely known as other designer names, like Dolce and Gabbana, Prada or Gucci, but it is definitely in the same class. Not widely imitated, the Hackett brand has retained its exclusivity and appeal to those of truly understated wealth. With the opening of its latest store prominent on Regent Street and with its clothing frequently seen being worn by Prince William this is a designer name that is one to invest in. A relatively new fashion house in the scheme of things, founded in 1979 in Portobello the brand initially traded in second-hand clothing before beginning to design and create their own pieces. Now they are perhaps best known for their designer coats, tailored suits and jackets. It is perhaps the label’s designer coats that best exemplify the quality and craftsmanship of their work: from their Aston Martin racing jackets and padded gilets that typify the British sporting connection with the brand, to the paddock and Houndstooth jackets that are so reminiscent of the upper class British …

Nolcha Fashion Week: Samantha Cole London FW 13

On Wednesday, February 13, Nolcha Fashion Week: New York Fall/Winter 2013 presented by Rusk held their runway shows at Pier 59. For those of you who may not be familiar with Nolcha, now in its sixth year, they are one of New York’s leading platforms for independent global fashion designers. I fell in love with designer Samantha Cole and her Fall/Winter 13 collection. The models looked so tough and ready to kick ass.  There were lots of bold geometric prints and dark colors, but I personally loved the all white looks. Samantha Cole’s designs are very strong and edgy. Her collections are all designed with an underlying theme involving female empowerment,  which of course, I love. What do you think of the collection? Check out more from Nolcha Fashion week HERE and more from Samantha Cole London Here. *photos via

Be (A)uthentic: Statement making designer shoes guaranteed to get you looks

Shoes can literally make or break your outfit. You could be wearing the most gorgeous outfit, but pair it with the wrong footwear and you are doomed for criticism. One thing I love about shoes, is that like a great pair of sunglasses they can really take your look to the next level. You could be wearing a simple outfit, but by adding a fun pair of shoes you just changed your entire look. I was browsing on elle.com today and found this feature on statement making shoes.  As a B.A.D girl I am all about being unique and rockin’ something different from the rest. Would you wear any of these shoes? They are pretty much an outfit all on their own. These shoes are pretty sick. I can’t imagine how many people might have to look twice at your shoes thinking you stepped right into a wad of bubblegum. I am a total sucker for the color purple and I have to admit that I would more than likely rock these with a little …
