B.A.D. Girl Photo Diary: The Color Run #Happiest5k

Last weekend I participated in my first ever 5k called The Color Run, which is equal to about 3.1 miles! The run took place at Citified in Queens, NY.  Now I must make it clear that I am no runner so I agreed to participate because this run is all about having fun, feeling happy and being active. Plus, you get splashed with color throughout which makes it impossible not to have a blast! So here are a few photos from our day. I can check  off participating in a 5k run from my bucket list now! This was such a fun feel good event that was so much fun we didn’t want the race to end. It didn’t even feel like 3 miles! I definitely recommend everyone participate at least once because you will have a blast! BTW in case you are curious the color used is dyed corn starch powder and yes, it comes off easily. 🙂 Have you ever participated in a 5K run? XOXO Nicole For more info about The Color Run visit here. Event Recap: Wendy’s #NewSaladCollection NYC Launch with Model Molly Sims

Last Wednesday I had the pleasure of attending an exclusive fashion event at a New York City Wendy’s restaurant to kick off the launch of “The New Salad Collection from Wendy’s” campaign – a partnership with fashion site Polyvore and contest judge super model Molly Sims.  It was a night filled with food, fashion and fun! Models were styled in looks  inspired by the bold flavors and vibrant colors of Wendy’s new salads: Asian Cashew Chicken and BBQ Ranch Chicken. “Fashion inspiration can come from anywhere – even your Wendy’s salad,” said Sims. “I love how Wendy’s is rolling out their new salads like a fashion line and can’t wait to see how fashion lovers like me are inspired by them.” Wendy’s and Polyvore are running a contest where you can create your own style board, using Wendy’s salad images and fashions inspired by them. You then tag your board with #NewSaladCollection for a chance to win $1,000, which can be used to stock up on styles you pinned. Cha-ching! At the event they had a huge magnetic Polyvore style board where …

B.A.D. Girl Photo Diary: LuLu’s NYFW Style Studio Event

I had the pleasure of attending the LuLu’s.com New York Fashion Week Style Studio event in NYC over the weekend. I had a great time catching up with some of my favorite blogger babes, checking out all of the awesome brands and scoring some amazing freebies while enjoying delicious cocktails courtesy of Hpnotiq! Here are a few photos from the event! I ran into so many familiar faces like my girls Laura, Heather and Erin  and had the pleasure of meeting new blogger babes too! The Hpnotiq cocktails were gooood. I loved the ‘Sparkling Sweetheart’ made with Hpnotiq Harmonie and Prosecco! Lulus also had a fun fashion wheel where you could Spin to Win gifts like clothes, shoes and gift cards from their sponsors. The items were available whiles supplies lasted so I made sure to be one of the firsts on line! Thanks to the power of positive thinking I won the super freakin’ cute crochet dress I had my eye on by clothing brand Others Follow! Lulu’s was also very kind enough to gift everyone one free item …

‘Goodwill Suits You’ Fashion Show 2013 Event Recap

The ‘Goodwill Suits You’ Fashion Show took place on October 1st at the 3rd ave Harlem Goodwill Store location to kick of Disability Employment Awareness Month. I participated as a stylist for 3 fabulous models:  Richard, Sheril and Kim! I met with each of them individually at Goodwill Stores to help pick out professional attire that they can walk the runway in and use for the workplace. Here are some pics of them working the runway during the show! I styled Richard in a dark grey suit with a paisley tie that will be perfect for when he goes on interviews in the communications/tech space. Richard was so much fun to work with and he definitely did his thing on the runway! Sheril was my super model because she is so tall and slim so I styled her in a black knee length pencil skirt and a fun printed blouse paired with a sweater to make it office/work appropriate since the blouse had no sleeves. Sheril worked it! The tweed jacket Kim is rocking was such …

Hey B.A.D. Girls! I am excited to share with you all that I will be participating as a blogger/stylist in this year’s Goodwill Suits You Fashion Show on October 1st, in honor of Disability Employment Awareness Month! For those of you not familiar with Goodwill; they are a not for profit organization that helps enhance the dignity and quality of life for individuals and families in need. They also have really awesome second hand clothing (thrift) stores where you can find great deals if you are into thrifting or in need of clothing at an affordable price. Thanks to my good friend, Kimberlee, I will be participating as a stylist and my job has been to meet with the models and help style them for the fashion show by selecting professional business attire found at Goodwill stores. Here is my styling session video with Richard at the Goodwill Boutique location on 72nd street! We want people to know that there are affordable options out there for them to get great business attire and work clothes without …

NFL and Vogue Back To Football Style Event

On Tuesday I along with my blogger boo Kimberlee had the pleasure of attending a really fun fashion show hosted by Vogue and the NFL to celebrate their women’s NFL apparel line. The event hosted by Phillip Bloch took place in Grand Central Station and featured celebs such as Deborah Cox, Stacy Keibler, Vivica Fox and the legendary Susan Lucci! They all took part in a fashion show along with pro models and NFL wives to showcase the new line of NFL gear. All participants were wearing NFL gear paired with  top designer pieces from the likes of Catherine Malandrino, Badgley Mischka, Keneth Cole, Betsy Johnson and so many more.  It was a great way to mix sports and designer fashion. My favorite looks were from Alice & Olivia, Kenneth Cole and Catherine Malandrino. They all involve leather and I love! I went for a sporty chic look and I got so many compliments on my outfit! Top is from Forever 21, Skirt and Heels are H&M. Are you excited that football season is back?! …

Anthropologie ‘Made In Kind’ Event

I along with my blogger boo Erin of Spikes & Sequins attended a fun event in honor of Anthropologies ‘Made in Kind’ Karen Walker collection, called ‘Hi There’.  We were supposed to get a chance to meet Karen Walker in the flesh, but sadly I think we missed her! The collection itself is really cute and very similar to Karen Walkers signature line, but at a much better price!  The collection is full of cheeky prints and bright fun colors. I loved the cute octopus tee paired with the polka dot skirt! There was a  Valentine’s Day inspired candy station so we made sure to stock up on some sweets. They also served  chilled Prosecco, had a fun Valentine’s Day themed photo booth and a DJ blasting tunes to keep the vibe cool and chill. We had a good time and tried really hard not to shop! Erin and I did NOT plan to both have neon legs for the event, but we did and it was pretty awesome. I was also rocking my new leather biker …

Refinery 29 Brought Tinseltown to Soho

Last week I along with blogger pals Kimberlee and Laura attended Tinseltown, a shopping event hosted by Refinery 29 that featured some really cool brands. The companies featured allowed for a variety of  gift ideas for all of the different people in your life. They had everything from jewelry to fashion scarves and clothes to gifts for the entertainer all the way down to even the littlest of  fashionistas. I really liked the company WOOL And The GANG who make super cool DIY  kits that allow you to create your own pieces made out of beautiful Peruvian yarn. You can also buy gorgeous ready to wear pieces too! Gorgeous Scarves from YARNZ Super bad ass necklaces  from Lulu Frost (above) and a dope bracelet from Bing Bang (below)  More gorgeous pieces from Lulu Frost Jewelry Fun gift items for the gal/guy who loves to drank and entertain guests! Super soft buttery leather goods. Yum! The  little baby clothes were beyond adorable! Laura and I loved how sharp the bartenders were dressed. They were serving up cocktails all night. The spiked …

“A Luxury Affair” with the MOB Wives of VH1

I attended a taping for VH1’s MOB Wives on Tuesday at J’adore Lounge in NYC hosted by 5 Promotions and LaVue PR.  It was quite an experience to get a taste of “reality” TV.  Renee Graziano and Ramona Rizzo were the two “wives” in attendance partying it up with Cherry Martinez from Power 105.1.  I wish Big Ang would have shown up! I invited my girls Kimberlee and Erin to cover the event with me!  We all had such cute nail polish colors so a photo was necessary!  Do any of you watch MOB Wives? Maybe you will catch me on an episode next season!  xx
