I rang in my 24th year with an amazing BIRTHDAY dinner at Bobby Flay’s restaurant Bobby Flay Steak in Atlantic City thanks to my love! Dinner was amazing! I chowed down on Philly cheese steak style strip steak and mashed potatoes! Yumo! I scooped this dress up at Armani Exchange and fell in love with the elaborate detailing on the collar and shoulders. It also made my life easier because I didn’t need to worry about too many accessories. Sa-weeet! And of course I had to funk up my outfit a bit and I decided to go for my leopard print wedges from Forever 21 to complete the look. 24 is looking pretty good eh? Hope you all enjoyed your weekends as much as I did! xo
The first of my childhood friends is getting married! And the best part, she is marrying her high school sweetheart! I attended her bridal shower this past weekend and it was so great to see her after so long. Since it was during the early afternoon; I wound up wearing this floral print jumper that I randomly found browsing thru F21. I kinda reallly lurveee it. I mentioned in last week’s post about how yellow nail polish is a fun beauty trend you should try. I rocked OPI’s yellow polish and got tons of compliments. I scored these Steve Madden wedges at TJ Maxx and they are mad comfy. My feet felt so good to be in wedges after being tortured by flat sandals for 2 days in a row. Flat sandals may not hurt as bad as heels do right from the jump, but boy do they kill your feet after hours of standing and walking in them. Wedges are my go to summer shoe when I want to dress up or just be cute. 😉 What is …
Who said dressing up for work had to be boring? Your basic button up shirt that may seem wack to you can actually be very versatile. The one I am wearing is from the Simply Vera Collection by Vera Wang, which is full of really great pieces for work and play. Four finger rock candy from you guessed it, PNK Elephant. I like to kick the days ass when I’m wearing my combats boots from Guess. Throw on a pair of Negativity Blockers Since I started my new job about a month ago my positivity has sky rocketed. Yes, I am obviously happier, but I also put an effort into keeping my thoughts positive. Consciously removing any negative stinkin’ thinkin’ and focusing on the good. I feel AMAZING. Try it, NOW. 😀
I took these pics after sippin’ on one too many mimosa’s at brunch with the boyfriend ;-). I kept it casual, but was super hype to bring out my bomber jacket because the sun was out and teasing those of us who worship it. What I am rockin’: Striped jacket from Forever 21, BCBG Jeans, Emu Leather Bomber, ASOS Booties & French Connection Leather Bag I LOVE this purse by French Connection UK. The fact that I can carry it by a sturdy handle when my shoulder gets tired is great because I tend to stuff the hell out of my bags! It was a gift from my lovie for Christmas, p.s. Hope you are all doing well and on your way to accomplishing some of your short-term goals you set out to achieve as the month of March creeps up on us. I am on my way to starting a new chapter in my life and I couldn’t be happier. xx
Old Navy Jacket, Forever 21 Sweater + Necklace, H&M leggings, Steve Madden Riding Boots, Felix Rey for Target Purse, Swarvoski Ring, Guess Watch Yes, I am in a book store in the children aisle. It was the Borders on 34th street to be exact. I was killing time waiting for the boyfriend to get out of work last night and then decided I wanted to do an impromptu outfit shoot. I really liked this outfit. I think a pretty sweater is the best way to kick off December. I felt so comfortable, but still put together, which I love. I also dyed my hair and got a fresh batch of highlights! 🙂 *Photography by Projek
Winter fashion trends are upon us and one of the latest includes a familiar friend of mine, velvet. I can’t remember the last time I wore velvet as a fashion statement, maybe second grade? Being a dancer for many years allowed me to wear velvet countless times, but as a costume. I was surprised to see velvet making a comeback and I actually think it’s a cute trend for winter. Velvet is soft and comfy and reminds me of dressing up for the holidays as a child. I found some cute velvet items I think you might enjoy. If embracing an entire velvet dress isn’t in your closets future, why not try a pair of flats or a bag? There are also items like the red skirt below that only use velvet as an accent or trim. These items will allow you to still be trendy without feeling like you are about to perform a ballet routine. 😉 1. Crush Velvet Scoop Neck Dress at Forever 21 -$17.80 2.
