B.A.D. Girl Link Love: Dream Chasing, Champagne and Wasting Time

Hi Loves, I hope you all are having a great week! I am really happy because I received notification that my trademark application with the USTPO has been approved and is in its final stages! This means I will be the official registered trademark owner of ‘B.A.D. Beautiful, Authentic & Determined’ very soon! I always knew in the back of my mind that I needed to protect myself, but if I am being honest it wasn’t until I found myself dealing with my FIRST infringement issue that I kicked it into high gear and dropped a huge chunk of money to protect what I have worked so hard to create. It’s something that I highly recommend to anyone with a unique idea, name or brand and are looking to really invest in it for the long haul. If you need help or have questions about the trademark filing process you can always reach out to me! Here are this weeks links I am loving: Beautiful: I love hearing/reading peoples success stories because it motivates and inspires me to …

It’s so easy to get caught up in our day to day lives that we can neglect what is most important and that’s ourselves. I am challenging you to do at least ONE thing that your future self will thank you for. Here are few ideas in case you need some help! Go to the gym/workout for at least 30 minutes Start on your business plan Eat a clean meal Tell that person how you honestly feel Get a full nights rest Buy that domain name you came up with Stick up for yourself Start a gratitude journal Read the first chapter of a book Do something fun or unexpected I am going to work out, eat clean and get a full nights rest today because I slacked off this weekend. B.A.D. Girl Link Love: Surreal Places, Selfies & Things to Stop Doing

Hey B.A.D. Girls! I hope you are having a great week! I’ve decided this week that I really want to make an effort to live in the moment more so to help me with that I am saying “yes” to any and everything that I want to do (within reason). I normally dwell on things or think too far ahead and I want to do more of what I love and less of what I don’t want to do.  And so far I have said yes to 3 adventures and I am so pumped! I will keep you guys posted.  🙂 Here are this weeks links I am loving: Beautiful: I seriously plan on seeing the world and these 32 amazing places took my breath away. I mean seriously, a pink lake?! Event Recap: Wendy’s #NewSaladCollection NYC Launch with Model Molly Sims

Last Wednesday I had the pleasure of attending an exclusive fashion event at a New York City Wendy’s restaurant to kick off the launch of “The New Salad Collection from Wendy’s” campaign – a partnership with fashion site Polyvore and contest judge super model Molly Sims.  It was a night filled with food, fashion and fun! Models were styled in looks  inspired by the bold flavors and vibrant colors of Wendy’s new salads: Asian Cashew Chicken and BBQ Ranch Chicken. “Fashion inspiration can come from anywhere – even your Wendy’s salad,” said Sims. “I love how Wendy’s is rolling out their new salads like a fashion line and can’t wait to see how fashion lovers like me are inspired by them.” Wendy’s and Polyvore are running a contest where you can create your own style board, using Wendy’s salad images and fashions inspired by them. You then tag your board with #NewSaladCollection for a chance to win $1,000, which can be used to stock up on styles you pinned. Cha-ching! At the event they had a huge magnetic Polyvore style board where …

B.A.D. Girl Tip: Stop Competing with Others

B.A.D. Girl Lifestyle Tip:  Stop Competing with Others We have all done it at some point in our lives: We compare or compete with others as a way to gauge our own levels of success.  I know I  constantly find myself struggling with this and have learned to take that energy and focus it inward. I have stopped “competing” with others and have started competing with myself. Instead of submitting to the temptation to compare myself to someone else I ask myself  a set of questions: What am I doing today that I couldn’t have done 5, 3, or even 1 year ago? What have I done or am doing to move my life in a new direction? How have I continued to become a new and improved version of myself? We have to stop worrying about what others are doing better and instead concentrate on beating our own personal records everyday.  We all have our own unique path and comparing our journey to someone else’s is not smart or logical. If you are working …

TLT: Be Interested but Not Fake!

One of the most important keys to a building a successful relationship is your ability to show a sincere interest in both the person and the things that are important to that person. When you express genuine interest in someone you give them a sense of importance, well being and value. However, it is equally as important that you are not fake with it. Don’t pretend to love politics when the only “politics” you care about involve Olivia Pope! Don’t pretend to be okay with the fact that he spends all his free time playing video games when you secretly want to throw his controller out with the recyclable! When we pretend it’s only for so long until the truth catches up to us. And it will, which will then cause feelings to be hurt and an argument to erupt. Be open minded and willing to learn or try new things, but don’t fake an interest just to get on his good side. You can still respect their interests even if they aren’t of interest to …

B.A.D. Girl Tip: Get Your Mind Right to Get In Shape

B.A.D. Girl Lifestyle Tip: The law of attraction states that what we think about and more importantly put feeling behind we bring about in our lives so everyday I make a conscious effort to think and feel good as much as I can. In doing this I have seen amazing results with my fitness goals and I want to share with you guys what I have been doing besides eating better and exercising. I have made the word “weight” a taboo. I no longer use the word weight because if you constantly worry about putting on weight or gaining weight or even losing weight the universe has no choice but to give you WEIGHT! I don’t feel Guilt. If I want to enjoy a piece of cake or order french fries with my meal I do it and I enjoy it and I don’t allow myself to feel guilty for it. Feeling guilty will attract more guilt in the form or weight gain! I use positive mantras. “I am healthy” and “I am slim” are my go-to’s. …

B.A.D. Girl Tip: Have a Go-To Drink

B.A.D. Girl Lifestyle Tip: Have a Go-To Drink I, myself am a Captain Morgan and cranberry kind of girl. When I drink wine I like Pinot Grigio. When I drink beer I always go for a Blue Moon (with an orange) and seltzer water with lemon for my non alcoholic beverage of choice. When you have a go-to drink, you come off as a woman who knows what she wants.  So the next time you find yourself out on a date or at an important business dinner order your drink without looking at the menu. You might be feeling nervous but at that moment you appeared confident with your decision. That’s a good way to start! What is your go-to drink? xo Nicole Let’s Connect:  Bloglovin’  Facebook  Twitter  Instagram  Youtube  Shop
