How I stay Motivated To Work Out
80% of people who sign up for a gym membership in January will stop going within the first 5 months of the year. Here is how I avoid being one of those people.

I know firsthand how scary it is to take risks and do something that is out of our comfort zone. I left a comfortable job in the fashion industry that I was pretty damn good at to start my own business. The hardest part wasn’t leaving the job, but rather leaving the comfort of a steady paycheck. However, I knew in my heart that if I didn’t leave when I did I probably wouldn’t ever do it. If you have confidence in yourself then being afraid to take a risk shouldn’t be an issue. When you believe in something with your whole heart you can make it your reality. If you want something you have never had before then you have to do something you have never done. Be someone who chooses to live freely. Be B.A.D.! What risk have you taken? xoxo Nicole Let’s Connect: Bloglovin’ Facebook Twitter Instagram Youtube Shop
B.A.D. Girl Tip: Enjoy The Process A work out is just as much mental as it is a physical process. You have to train your brain to like it. If you dread your workout you are going to dread how long it takes you to see the results you want. Like attracts like. So start feeling good about your workout and your body will start to look good too. Try new things until you find an activity that you actually enjoy doing. Celebrate every last squat. Enjoy the process and you will achieve your goal sooner. How do you enjoy working out? xoxo Nicole Let’s Connect: Bloglovin’ Facebook Twitter Instagram Youtube Shop
Hi Loves, I hope you all are having a great week! I am really happy because I received notification that my trademark application with the USTPO has been approved and is in its final stages! This means I will be the official registered trademark owner of ‘B.A.D. Beautiful, Authentic & Determined’ very soon! I always knew in the back of my mind that I needed to protect myself, but if I am being honest it wasn’t until I found myself dealing with my FIRST infringement issue that I kicked it into high gear and dropped a huge chunk of money to protect what I have worked so hard to create. It’s something that I highly recommend to anyone with a unique idea, name or brand and are looking to really invest in it for the long haul. If you need help or have questions about the trademark filing process you can always reach out to me! Here are this weeks links I am loving: Beautiful: I love hearing/reading peoples success stories because it motivates and inspires me to …
It’s so easy to get caught up in our day to day lives that we can neglect what is most important and that’s ourselves. I am challenging you to do at least ONE thing that your future self will thank you for. Here are few ideas in case you need some help! Go to the gym/workout for at least 30 minutes Start on your business plan Eat a clean meal Tell that person how you honestly feel Get a full nights rest Buy that domain name you came up with Stick up for yourself Start a gratitude journal Read the first chapter of a book Do something fun or unexpected I am going to work out, eat clean and get a full nights rest today because I slacked off this weekend. HARD. What are you going to do today? xo Nicole Let’s Connect: Bloglovin’ Facebook Twitter Instagram Youtube Shop
Hey B.A.D. Girls! I hope you all had an amazing first full week of the year! I unfortunately suffered a stomach bug this week and did a whole lot of resting (among other not so pleasant things) so it wasn’t the greatest start to my new year. BUT I am finally feeling better and after watching this video from Lizzie Velasquez, an amazing young woman who suffers from an extremely rare and unknown disease where her body cannot put on weight I snapped out of my funk with the quickness! This beautiful girl radiates positivity and is an amazing motivational speaker. I think she defines what it means to be a B.A.D. Girl in every way to the millionth power. Please watch her video and tell me if you don’t feel completely inspired to live afterward! I really admire true strength. I could not even fathom what she has been through in her life. The fact that she is sharing her story and living life to the fullest is so refreshing and I want to …
I really can’t believe another year is on it’s way out the door! It always seems to go by so quickly, but I think we just forget about all the moments and memories we made throughout the year. It’s nice to look back and reflect so I selected my 5 favorite B.A.D. Girl tip posts that I published in 2013. And a big thank you to YOU for reading them! 1. Remember What Happiness Really Is Happiness is something we all want out of life and probably struggle with all the time. I was touched by the honesty from some of you when I published this post. Read the full post HERE. 2. Create a Gratitude Jar I started my jar back in November when I published this post and its getting pretty filled up! Its also a nice way to end each day. Read the full post HERE. 3. Don’t Waste Your Time Our time is the one thing we can’t get back so pick and choose how you spend it wisely. This goes for …
Sometimes all it takes is one small act to spark change in your life so I am daring you, yes YOU, to do just one thing different this week. It could be anything, it just has to be out of the ordinary. Perhaps it’s something you have been meaning to start doing like waking up 10 minutes earlier or taking the time to write up your business idea. Or maybe you want to do something you have never done like pay for a strangers coffee or call out from work and spend the day learning how to do something on your bucket list. Do it for the possibility. The possibility that if you make one minor change you may set the stage for major fulfillment. Sometimes even the smallest shift in thinking or doing can create the biggest opportunity. What are you going to do different this week? Be B.A.D! xx Nicole Lets Connect: Bloglovin Facebook Twitter Instagram
This quote just gives me life! There is nothing worse than wasted time. I really admire people who make an effort to make each day count. Start by setting daily standards that you will stick to and allow for you to do more of what you love and less of what you hate. Set standards that allow you to determine how, when and with whom your time is spent. Your future is predicated on the decisions you make in the present so why not focus your energy on the NOW? Are you spending your time the way YOU want to? xx Nicole
This is something we probably have learned the hard way at some point in our life and being the DETERMINED women that we are it can be difficult for us to just throw in the towel. We aren’t quitters, because quitters never win right? Well, I strongly believe in NEVER saying never! It is majorly important for us to grow, understand and realize when we need to work harder for something or someone and when it is best for us to gracefully bow out. When To Try Harder: You haven’t actually “failed” yet You haven’t given 120% of your efforts Your heart tells you that you CAN You believe in your idea When To Move On: Your efforts are not being appreciated You are causing more harm than good YOU are not happy When do you think someone should move on or try harder at something? xx Nicole
