B.A.D. Girl April Beauty Favorites & Empties

I am a bit late with my favorites for the month of April (it went by way too quickly!), but I guess I didn’t really have too much newness to share with you all. I did however have some empties from some of my favorite products so I figured I would share these with you too. So here we go! Favorites: Nubian Heritage Mango Butter Soap, $4.49 I’ve mentioned how much I love this brand before, BUT this one just might be my favorite. My skin has been so silky smooth that I spend way too much time feeling on myself for no reason at all. So serious. Mineral Fusions Nail Polish in Glint of Mint, $7.99 I purchased this polish because it is marketed as a healthier alternative to regular nail polish that’s free from all the terrible chemicals and toxins found in others. It has good staying power and the colors are gorgeous. YSL Volupte Sheer Candy in Cool Guava, $34 I’ve had this glossy balm for some time now but found myself wearing it frequently in …

NCLA Nail Wraps Product Review

I was reallllyy excited to finally order these NCLA nails wraps (via Shop Jeen) since I have been eying them for a minute. Plus, I am a huge fan of designer Melody Eshani. Here is what I thought of ’em! Pros: Awesome designs that are different than what is currently out there. You can probably get at least 2-3 wears out of the set- comes with 2 full sheets I got major compliments- even strangers stopped to ask about them! They stayed put while washing my hair! Taking them off was super easy; they literally peeled right off like stickers. Cons: The nail wraps seemed to be designed for longer nails. I had a hard time getting the best part of each design to fit entirely on my nail so I had to cut the bottom part of each sticker to fit them properly. The wraps don’t lay on to the nail as nicely as the real polish strips by Sally Hansen. It took me a good 2 hours to do my nails with trying …

Target Shopping Haul

I made a quick stop at my local Target a few days ago and of course I ended up leaving with more than I planned for. I mentioned these leopard print pants in my last post and I love anything Hello Kitty + NEON!  Socks are also one of my obsessions as I mentioned HERE. How cute are these neon babies?  I have a major weakness for sunglasses and I like to buy cheap ones to experiment with different styles before I invest in a good pair.  I would have never thought round frames would look good on my face shape but these are mad cute!  Picked up some new nail polish strips in the beauty section. Spring Fever & Lust-Rous. I love these things. Have you tried them yet? Any fun new purchases? xx Nicole

Katy Perry for OPI nail polish collection is a teenage dream!

So one of my favorite nail  polish brands,OPI,  is teaming up with  my latest girl crush Katy Perry to release a new line of polishes inspired by her daring and fun style. I am smitten to say the least, at hearing this news! It makes sense why they chose Ms. Perry as their newest collaboration. Besides being undoubtedly gorgeous Katy is always making sure her nails look on point! Katy doesn’t let a red carpet opportunity pass by without showing off her trendy nail beds. If you follow her on twitter you will know that she has posted twitpics of her fun and funky nail art as well. The Katy Perry Collection by OPI will include four really glam song inspired shades: Teenage Dream (a girly pink glitter), Not Like the Movies (a sexy silver), Last Friday Night (a funky glittery blue), and The One That Got Away (a romantic raspberry). I love how the names/song titles pretty much fit perfectly with the shade of polish. I honestly couldn’t imagine Teenage Dream being any other color but pink! …

“It is not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves.” ~ Edmund Hillary

Be (B)eautiful: I really look forward to my weekly manicure’s. Changing my nail polish color really helps brighten my mood. It’s amazing how looking down at my nails in a cute fun color can really make me feel better.  The new Fall 2010 OPI Swiss collection is my current obsession. The colors are fab. I’m currently typing with Glitzerland on my nails. ❤ it! Be (A)uthentic: When I feel like giving up on something, I talk myself out of it. I am my own motivation and you should be yours. I keep it real with myself because not everyone else will. Only I know how I really feel and what I am capable of. How can I base my decisions on what someone else thinks about me? People think they know you, but they have no idea. 😉 Be (D)etermined: The quote above is so true. When faced with a challenge, it is so easy for us to doubt our ability to succeed. We without even thinking start to question our skills and strengths. It …

“The shortest distance between two people is a smile.” ~Author Unknown

Be (B)eautiful: I am absolutely obsessed with ‘splash of grenadine‘ nail color by Essie. It has been my summer staple and its on my fingers right now as I type this!  The color is appropriate for the office yet fun enough for summer nights. I love love LOVE it! Be (A)uthentic: When it comes to flirting a girls best weapon of choice is NOT her cleavage, but her smile. Your smile is an invitation for conversation. When you smile while speaking to others they cant help but to smile as well. Smiling also makes you look 100 times prettier no matter what you may be wearing or how you may be feeling. Be (D)etermined: On your rise for corporate success its important that you treat everyone with equal amounts of respect. You treat the janitor with the same respect you treat the CEO. It’s not about being too nice or a pushover, but it’s about respect that everyone rightfully deserves. Being a successful woman doesn’t mean you need to be rude or mean to those …
