Zara makes getting dressed for work oh so exciting! I always find the best pieces like this embellished collar blouse. There is nothing I love more than details. The leather trim on my slacks (also from Zara) make me way too happy. This yellow croco leather Lodis bag was a TJ Maxx find for the win. Luuurrvveee these nail polish strips that I bought at Target. They really catch your eye and look super metallic. The shade is Lust-Rous #470. If you haven’t checked out the Zara Spring Collection yet I highly recommend! I am obsessed with everything from the edgy pieces to the gorgeous pastel and neon colors to the structured pieces. Do you shop at Zara? Where is your favorite place to shop for work clothes? xx
I found out about the passing of one of my sorority sisters the other day. She was just shy of 20 years young and though we never met, it is the bond that we share in our sisterhood that makes me feel so close to her. My sorority colors are pink & black so this outfit post is dedicated to her. Like a perfect flower That is just beyond your reach Gone too soon Born to amuse, to inspire, to delight Here one day Gone one night Like a sunset Dying with the rising of the moon Gone too soon Rest is Paradise Ty. OMEGA LOVE.
I am always inspired by blogger Vivienne of Haute & Fierce and after taking these photos I realized my look was very similar to one of hers that she posted HERE. Don’t you think so? Do any of these pieces look familiar to you?? They are from “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Collection” from H&M. Well, the jacket and top are anyways. I also copped a hoodie and the snood from the collection! The biker boots are from Steve Madden and were one of my Christmas gifts from the babe. Last winter I was totally into lace up/combat boots and this year I am all about the biker boot! What kind of boots are you rockin’?! xo
I didn’t give myself enough time between getting ready and partying to take outfit pics and I am pretty upset because I LOVED my NYE outfit! So here are a few photos of what I rocked to ring in the new year! I am really starting to like the color blue all of a sudden. These BCBGeneration pumps are not only gorgeous, but super comfy. I was able to dance in them and everythaannng. My tights were a hit and I think they helped take my outfit up a few notches on the sexy scale. Another color obsession is this neon lime/yellow color I’ve been rockin’. My sister got me this top from Nasty Gal for Christmas. In photos the shirt looks more yellow, but it’s actually lime. Obsessed. **Note to Self** Make it a habit to photo my outfits before I start taking back shots! I hope you all had an amazing and safe time ringing in 2012. What did you rock?! xo Follow me on Tumblr Follow me on Twitter Follow me on Bloglovin
I have not stopped wearing my Versace x H&M jacket since I bought it last month. It is so soft, comfortable and pretty warm too! I rocked it with the Versace x H&M studded leggings to go shopping over the weekend. I have also been seeing this lime color all over the place so when I saw this loop muffler at good ol Target I had to cop it! It adds such a nice pop of color to an all black ensemble. Scarves and mufflers are the easiest way to incorporate a fun color into your winter wardrobe. Are you rockin’ color this winter??!
I’ve been seeing ponchos, ruanas, and wraps all over the place and finally decided to buy this one by BCBGMAXAZRIA. I thought it was pretty dope with the black and white color blocking. What do you think? I am obsessed with my new boots from ASOS. I’ve seen similar boots everywhere, but none with the gold block heel so I had to cop em! Hope you all had a great holiday weekend and are ready to get back on the grind! “Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.” ~ Coco Chanel
I hope you didnt think I was talking about a mullet from my title! Shout out to BCBG for this fab little number! It’s a really great spin on your traditional maxi dress. I especially love it because I am super short and sometimes feel overwhelmed by a full length bottom. I plan on transitioning this dress for the fall with a pair of boots and some leather! Pics coming soon! What do you think about this style?? Diggin it?
Maxi Skirt + retro inspired blouse + Jeffrey Campbell Lita’s = JC Girl Swag I decided to play dress up to make my hump day a bit more enjoyable and give me a boost to make it through the rest of my hectic work week. I felt very 70’s inspired with this outfit. All I’m missing is a big ‘ol floppy hat, right? What do you think? Hope you are all having a great week! Let’s finish up strong! xx
I literally cannot stop wearing these cobalt blue pants by GUESS. The color is absolutely gorgeous and the fit is perfect for my body frame. I have never been a huge fan of the color blue when it comes to clothing…until now. My colored pants collection keeps on growing and at this point I seriously don’t want to wear regular ‘ol denim at all. I am sad to have to retire my Dolce Vita sandals now that the weather is getting cold, but I guess I could still rock em with tights?! Are you playing around with this retro turned modern colored denim trend? I def recommend scooping up a pair by Guess if you are thinking of giving this trend a try! x♥
I rang in my 24th year with an amazing BIRTHDAY dinner at Bobby Flay’s restaurant Bobby Flay Steak in Atlantic City thanks to my love! Dinner was amazing! I chowed down on Philly cheese steak style strip steak and mashed potatoes! Yumo! I scooped this dress up at Armani Exchange and fell in love with the elaborate detailing on the collar and shoulders. It also made my life easier because I didn’t need to worry about too many accessories. Sa-weeet! And of course I had to funk up my outfit a bit and I decided to go for my leopard print wedges from Forever 21 to complete the look. 24 is looking pretty good eh? Hope you all enjoyed your weekends as much as I did! xo
