B.A.D. Girl Style: All Neutral Everything

This past weekend I had the honor of attending a graduation party for one of my sorority sisters who achieved her goal of obtaining her Doctorate by the age of 30! This is such a killer accomplishment and to reach it at such a young age is even more amazing! I am so proud of my beautiful friend Dr. Marquez and all that she will do to help change and shape the world! I apologize for the lack in photo quality as these were taken in dim lighting with my phone but I just had to share this amazing accomplishment and my outfit of course! You can get the look for under $100! Get the Look: Skirt in Black Here, Crop Top Here, Shoes Here, Cuff Bracelet Here I pretty much stuck with neutral shades for this outfit where I normally may have thrown in a pop of color. My lipstick was even in a nude shade! My outfit was super affordable since I got my top and skirt from Tobi which offer 50% of your first order with them! …

B.A.D. Girl Style: Weekend Casual

I would be lying if I didn’t say that this is probably my everyday uniform. My personal style revolves around being comfortable. I live in a tee, jeans and comfy shoes.  I love to add unique elements and touches to make my outfits my own because being comfortable doesn’t mean you can’t be stylish, right? I took these photos while exploring Brooklyn, NY after visiting with my screen printer. My boyfriend and I were really digging the vibe and are definitely going to look into BK when we begin our apartment hunt later this year! That same day we also made a quick trip up to the Riverdale section of the Bronx to visit his grandmother and fell in love with the scenery. It was a gorgeous day out and we were literally staring at the Hudson River. I just love New York! P.S. Thanks to all who entered my giveaway! Winner will be announced on Friday!! What is your weekend style? B.A.D. Girl Style: The All Seeing Eye

If I were a celebrity people would probably think I am promoting “evil” by wearing this top, but I would like to go on the record and just say I am wearing it simply because I think it’s dope! I love the gold detail and the shirt is really comfortable too. Civil Clothing Cap, Garage Sweatshirt,  Zara Vest, Urban Outfitters Jeans, Pink & Pepper Boots We had “nice” weather last weekend which for us was about 50-something degrees so I ventured out and left my winter coat behind hoping to summon a quicker return of Spring. However, it was still too cold for me so I threw on my Civil Clothing cap and this was the outcome. It’s probably one of the most “street” looks I’ve worn since I don’t even know when, but hopefully you guys dig it! What are you wearing today? xo Nicole Let’s Connect:  Bloglovin  Facebook  Twitter  Instagram  Youtube  SHOP

B.A.D. Girl Style: Black & White

This is the outfit I wore on Valentine’s Day with my new Melie Bianco bag that was a V-Day gift from my bf. I love the idea of black and white with a pop of color so I threw on my neon pink MyTee B.A.D. beanie! Outfit Details: Coat – Via Spiga | Blouse – Forever 21 | Skirt – Mystique Boutique | Shoes – H&M | Beanie – MyTee B.A.D. | Handbag – Melie Bianco I fell in love with this Melie Bianco bag because of the body style and colors plus it reminds me of a Celine bag! I like to think of this bag as a place holder until I get my hands on a real one! On V-Day the bf and I ate all of my favorite foods and had a blast getting creative as we painted our own canvases (pic here). It was a really fun idea and I recommend it for anyone looking to have a creative date night! You can also check out my post on the Goodwill Blog with 3 …

B.A.D. Girl Style: Parka Jackets & Coats

I’ve been wanting a parka style jacket for a minute so when my mom told me the one she had recently bought didn’t fit her right I jumped at the opportunity to snatch it. She purchased it from Bloomingdales, but I have no idea the brand. The tag just says s +p. Regardless, I am obsessed  and haven’t stopped wearing it since the cold weather hit the east coast! What you cant see on this jacket because of my scarf is the removable fur trim around the collar. I like that the lining and fur are removable because that means I will still be able to wear the jacket when Spring gets here.  I also love the corset style detail on the back of the jacket. Parka: Bloomingdales – Beanie: H&M – Scarf: Xmas Gift from Kim! – Jeans: Mng by Mango – Boots: H&M – Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs – Sunnies: Kenneth Cole Parkas are great for an everyday jacket/coat that you can wear year round since many of them have removable linings, …

B.A.D. Girl Style: Celebrating OPC in Velvet & Leather

This past Saturday I had the pleasure of attending my Sorority’s Soft Elegance Banquet celebrating our 25th Anniversary! It was a magical night with so much love and pride in the air. I am so proud to be a sister of the FIRST true Multicultural Sorority in the nation. Happy 25 Years Omega Phi Chi Sorority! Here are some pics from the amazing night! I unfortunately did not get to use my digital camera so I apologize for the lack in quality of these photos! I scored my dress for under $40 bucks with shipping from GOJANE. I was nervous about the quality because the price was so low but it turned out to be a really nice dress and it’s made in the good ol’ USA! I paired it with my Prabal Gurung for Target heels because they are comfy and went with the vampy/goth look I was going for. I managed to last in them up until about the last hour of the night, success! We had an amazing turn out of sisters …

B.A.D. Girl Style: Plaid & Leather

I mentioned in my blog post  last week how all I want to wear is plaid, leather and leopard so I present to you this ensemble that features two of the three.  I am obsessed with this leather skirt because I can dress it up or down. Its a versatile piece and I definitely need to get my hands on a real one stat! I am working on this post as I watch the TLC movie on VH1 and all of the plaid they are rocking is giving me so much inspo! What I wore: Plaid Top: Macys Faux Leather Skirt: Mystique Boutique  Skull Bag: MyTee B.A.D.  Beanie: MyTee B.A.D.  Shoes: Gypsy Warrior Are you rocking the plaid trend? xo Nicole Let’s Connect:  Bloglovin’  Facebook  Twitter  Instagram  SHOP

B.A.D. Girl Style: NYFW Day One

I FINALLY get to attend New York Fashion Week this year since I am self employed and can make my own schedule. Woop!  On Day 1 of NYFW Lincoln Center was buzzing and I was just taking it all in while sipping on a Beck’s Sapphire beer (free during cocktail hour!).  You’re only allowed into the actual venue if you have a ticket for a show that day otherwise people hang out outside hoping to see someone famous or get photographed. This is the outfit I wore to attend the Desigual SS14 runway show, which was SO good btw! I was really excited to find a cute pair of faux leather jogger pants at Mystique Boutique. I have seen these pants trending on some of my favorite bloggers and couldn’t wait to rock them. The tiger crop top is also from Mystique Boutique. The Sandals are from H&M and my bag is by Ted Baker. I also can’t forget to mention that my earrings are from my sorority sister’s jewelry line, Love, Nidia E.  I …

B.A.D. Girl Style: 90’s Grunge Fashion

The 90s are back and boyfriends everywhere are missing pieces of their wardrobe! I know my bf definitely is because I have been stealing his button ups to rock opened up or around my waist. Achieving this look is really easy and fun! All items featured are from H&M Online and the Boots are from Pink & Pepper The plaid button up is iconic 90’s grunge and if you are going to purchase one I recommend buying  from the men’s department so that its a bit oversized because the women’s tops are cut more feminine and fitted. Grunge style is very  relaxed and baggy. The other essential “grunge” must have is a pair of kick-ass boots! I recently purchased these Pink & Pepper ankle boots so that I can wear them with everything from shorts to dresses. They are really affordable too! Throw on a comfy tee or muscle tank and some denim and you are ready to go! Have you tried the grunge look yet? xo Nicole Let’s Connect:  Bloglovin  Facebook  Twitter  Instagram  SHOP
