The REAL Reason Why You Aren’t Happy

It’s virtually impossible to be happy when all you do is focus on the negative aspects of your life. Every time you speak, tweet, THINK negative things and more importantly allow these thoughts to effect how you feel you are attracting more of the same.  So keep talking about your stressful job, lazy s/o, and lack of funds if that’s the life you want to continue experiencing. Do you really want to be happy? Start focusing on feeling good and putting your mind to focus on the things that you do want. Stop complaining to everyone about your problems and instead make a conscious effort to really focus on your blessings and all of the amazing things you desire that will essentially make you feel happy. Make a Pinterest board if you have to, but do something that will allow you to put your energy towards positive thoughts. Girl Lifestyle Tip:  Stop Competing with Others We have all done it at some point in our lives: We compare or compete with others as a way to gauge our own levels of success.  I know I  constantly find myself struggling with this and have learned to take that energy and focus it inward. I have stopped “competing” with others and have started competing with myself. Instead of submitting to the temptation to compare myself to someone else I ask myself  a set of questions: What am I doing today that I couldn’t have done 5, 3, or even 1 year ago? What have I done or am doing to move my life in a new direction? How have I continued to become a new and improved version of myself? Girl Lifestyle Tip: The law of attraction states that what we think about and more importantly put feeling behind we bring about in our lives so everyday I make a conscious effort to think and feel good as much as I can. In doing this I have seen amazing results with my fitness goals and I want to share with you guys what I have been doing besides eating better and exercising. I have made the word “weight” a taboo. I no longer use the word weight because if you constantly worry about putting on weight or gaining weight or even losing weight the universe has no choice but to give you WEIGHT! I don’t feel Guilt. If I want to enjoy a piece of cake or order french fries with my meal I do it and I enjoy it and I don’t allow myself to feel guilty for it. B.A.D. Girl Tip: Create a Gratitude Jar to Increase the Good Things in Your Life

Here is a great way to practice an attitude of gratitude! Everyday pick at least one thing that you see or experience and feel grateful for and write it down on pieces of paper. Throw the paper along with a quarter (or a dollar if you’re ballin’ like that) into a jar. When the jar is all filled up treat yourself, or better yet, someone else. image via Doing this daily will allow you to begin training yourself to practice an attitude of gratitude and therefore increasing the amount of good things in your life. B.A.D. Girl Tip For Getting What You Want

A lot of times we find ourselves getting discouraged from pursuing our dreams because we get caught up in thinking “HOW”  is what I want going to happen. We feel like things are impossible. I hate to break it to ya, but nothing is impossible! I have learned that it is in our best interest to focus solely on the end result. Learn to control your thoughts and  keep them  focused on the “What”  and in turn all of the “How’s” will be answered. All of the things, ideas, people, tools that you need will find their way into your life. Focus on the WHAT; not the HOW. Spend time everyday visualizing your desires (create a vision board if that helps). Take inspired action and have unwavering faith that what you want CAN & WILL come true. B.A.D. Girl Tip: How to Have a Great Day

Wake up late. Spill coffee on your blouse. Your boss pisses you off within 15 minutes of being at work. You mess up on a project at work and so on and so on. Does this spiral of negativity sound at all familiar? I have had my fair share of these days, but once I learned the powerful impact that a positive thought in the morning can have on my day it changed my daily outlook. Instead of waking up and saying ” ugh I don’t want to go to work/school” or ” ughh I hate waking up this early” opt for the simple thought of ” Today is going to be a good day!”. Try this one thought every morning for a week and see if your days start to change for the better. The trick is you have to mean it when you say it. Close your eyes and imagine yourself having a great day before you get out of bed in the morning. Say it out loud.   Then while you are brushing …
