B.A.D. Girl Beauty Review: The NEW Starter Kit by Jane Iredale

I was really excited to try the NEW starter kit from Jane Iredale because her line focuses on creating makeup with actual skincare benefits.  Products are made using high quality ingredients with no parabens, high testing standards and are always cruelty free. Here are my thoughts on the kit! Smooth Affair Facial Primer & Brightener This primer helped even my skin tone to eliminate redness and the appearance of pores while also giving my skin a subtle glow, which I love! Pure Pressed Base & Amazing Base SPF 20 Broad Spectrum -Medium These multi-tasking foundations provide 4 functions in one: foundation, concealer, sunscreen and active skincare benefits. The Pure Pressed Base (my personal fave!)  gave me amazing coverage with just one quick application. I also liked that it was very buildable so you can achieve the look you want and the product doesn’t look caked on. The amazing base is a loose mineral powder, which works great but I am just personally not a fan of when it comes to foundations because it gets messy (no matter …

Coily Head Chicks Product Review

I was contacted by hair care company CoilyHeadChick to review some of the products from their line for curly-haired girls. Now, I don’t normally wear my hair curly because I find the maintenance to be too much with my hectic schedule. However, I do love trying out new products since my hair has changed as an adult. Here are the three products I used on my hair: 1. Ultimate Hair Treat – A concentrated leave in moisturizer that can also be used daily. 2. Hair Perfection– A multipurpose styling gel 3. Hair Martini– A refresher hair spray for your curls. PROS: All natural high quality ingredients My hair was frizz free Products did not make my curls feel hard and crunchy CONS: I am sensitive to smells and the products left my hair smelling like baby powder, which I did not like. Whenever I touched my hair I felt residue from the product on my hands – even after my hair dried completely. I will definitely give CoilyHeadChick another try and I am thinking about …

NCLA Nail Wraps Product Review

I was reallllyy excited to finally order these NCLA nails wraps (via Shop Jeen) since I have been eying them for a minute. Plus, I am a huge fan of designer Melody Eshani. Here is what I thought of ’em! Pros: Awesome designs that are different than what is currently out there. You can probably get at least 2-3 wears out of the set- comes with 2 full sheets I got major compliments- even strangers stopped to ask about them! They stayed put while washing my hair! Taking them off was super easy; they literally peeled right off like stickers. Cons: The nail wraps seemed to be designed for longer nails. I had a hard time getting the best part of each design to fit entirely on my nail so I had to cut the bottom part of each sticker to fit them properly. The wraps don’t lay on to the nail as nicely as the real polish strips by Sally Hansen. It took me a good 2 hours to do my nails with trying …

Meet My New BFF Anastasia. She Is From Beverly Hills!

The team over at Anastasia of Beverly Hills sent me the Beauty Express Brow Kit in Brunette to try out and I am finally posting my product review!  The cool thing about this kit is it comes with stencils to help you achieve your ideal brow shape. It’s cool to change up your brows and have some fun with your look. I LOVE the full arch stencil for when my brows start to grow back in and get a lil crazy looking. It’s a life saver! The brow brush is also clutch in helping create nice lines for shaping your brows.  My only complaint is that I am a girl on the go and I need something smaller and easier to carry around, but I love it regardless!  Thank you for the kit ABH!  Do you fill in your eyebrows? Sally Hansen Salon Effects Product Review: Aint Nuttin’ But a Glitter Party.

I finally got my hands (literally) on the Sally Hansen Salon Effects nail polish strips! They are actual strips of real nail polish  that you stick on and fit to your nails.  The best part is that you don’t have to wait for your nails to dry! I don’t know about you, but that is my least favorite part of a manicure, especially when I rush and wind up smudging a freshly done nail. AN-NOY-ING. Each kit contains 16 different sized strips so that you can fit them to your nails. All you have to do is peel the back, fit it to your nail, smooth it out and then file off the remainder of the strip.  It’s so easy even a cave man could do it. No messy nail polish all over your skin; no wasting time while drying, just a straight up party on your nails in under 15 minutes. I’m wit it. Overall, I give the strips an 8 out of 10. They have been on my nails for over 2 weeks. My one complaint …
