NYFW: Backstage at the Tracy Reese Fall 2014 Runway Show

I had the pleasure of covering the backstage action before the Tracy Reese Fall 2014 Runway show during New York Fashion Week and it was such a cool experience! These are some of the behind the scenes photos I snapped with make up by Mally Beauty, Hair by Ouidad and nails by Sally Hansen. The hair for the show was to look natural and textured almost  as if you didn’t style it at all. There were 5 different makeup looks with “Exuberant” being my favorite because I loved the gold metallic glitter flakes that were sprinkled on the cheeks. It looked so pretty! I also loved the “Melancholy” look with a watercolor effect on the eyes using soft pinks, blues,  peach, navy and beige. The Tracy Reese Fall 2014 collection draws inspiration from juxtapositions, playing the loud and ecstatic against the pragmatic and quietly complex to create classically modern silhouettes in commanding cloths. The collection takes an intimate look at self-expression, intermixing utility pieces with unique elements that provide pops of personality and spirit. ~ …

B.A.D. Girl Tip: Get Better Results From Your Mascara

If I had to pick one makeup product to have with me on a deserted island it would most definitely be my mascara! I currently swear by Avon’s  SuperSHOCK Max Mascara as my ultimate favorite. It is so good especially for girls with long lashes because the brush is huge. So here are my tips to get get better results from your mascara and create perfect lashes. Purchase the Sally Hansen Sexy Curls Eyelash Curler. My sister introduced me and it is AMAZING.  You can find it at your local drug or beauty supply store.  You wont regret it. Throw your other one out and buy this one. Now. Use an eyelash comb to separate your lashes and curl them with your new Sally Hansen Eyelash Curler. Hold for 5-10 seconds on each eye. When you apply your mascara it is so important that you wiggle the mascara wand from the base of your lash line to the tip. So whatever you do, do not just brush your lashes with your mascara. You have to …

Target Shopping Haul

I made a quick stop at my local Target a few days ago and of course I ended up leaving with more than I planned for. I mentioned these leopard print pants in my last post and I love anything Hello Kitty + NEON!  Socks are also one of my obsessions as I mentioned HERE. How cute are these neon babies?  I have a major weakness for sunglasses and I like to buy cheap ones to experiment with different styles before I invest in a good pair.  I would have never thought round frames would look good on my face shape but these are mad cute!  Picked up some new nail polish strips in the beauty section. Spring Fever & Lust-Rous. I love these things. Have you tried them yet? Any fun new purchases? xx Nicole

Sally Hansen Salon Effects Product Review: Aint Nuttin’ But a Glitter Party.

I finally got my hands (literally) on the Sally Hansen Salon Effects nail polish strips! They are actual strips of real nail polish  that you stick on and fit to your nails.  The best part is that you don’t have to wait for your nails to dry! I don’t know about you, but that is my least favorite part of a manicure, especially when I rush and wind up smudging a freshly done nail. AN-NOY-ING. Each kit contains 16 different sized strips so that you can fit them to your nails. All you have to do is peel the back, fit it to your nail, smooth it out and then file off the remainder of the strip.  It’s so easy even a cave man could do it. No messy nail polish all over your skin; no wasting time while drying, just a straight up party on your nails in under 15 minutes. I’m wit it. Overall, I give the strips an 8 out of 10. They have been on my nails for over 2 weeks. My one complaint …
