B.A.D. Girl Tip: Get Your Mind Right to Get In Shape

B.A.D. Girl Lifestyle Tip: The law of attraction states that what we think about and more importantly put feeling behind we bring about in our lives so everyday I make a conscious effort to think and feel good as much as I can. In doing this I have seen amazing results with my fitness goals and I want to share with you guys what I have been doing besides eating better and exercising. I have made the word “weight” a taboo. I no longer use the word weight because if you constantly worry about putting on weight or gaining weight or even losing weight the universe has no choice but to give you WEIGHT! I don’t feel Guilt. If I want to enjoy a piece of cake or order french fries with my meal I do it and I enjoy it and I don’t allow myself to feel guilty for it. Feeling guilty will attract more guilt in the form or weight gain! I use positive mantras. “I am healthy” and “I am slim” are my go-to’s. …

Be (B)eautiful: Blueberries have been said to help banish belly fat and they are full of antioxidants. So eat them fresh for the best results. (source) Be (A)uthentic: In order to reach your fitness goals you need to be realistic. B.A.D girls have busy lifestyles and we expect results fast. However, it is better to lose weight at a slower pace than trying to lose 20 pounds in 4 weeks. Don’t over exert yourself or start a crazy diet b/c you want to see quick results. Fitness and a healthy lifestyle is just that- it is a LIFESTYLE and you need to change your habits in order to see long-lasting results. Be (D)etermined: So you lost your weight and are happy with your banging body. Now you can go back to your old habits and chill out with the work outs right? The answer is no. Once you shed some pounds or tone up its your job to maintain it. Your body will not maintain its figure on its own. Living a healthy lifestyle is …

“Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” ~ Albert Einstein

Be (B)eautiful: I love summer style. So much color and so much fun. I love love love this Marc Jacobs tote for a cute casual summer look! Be (A)uthentic: We all mistakenly think that a guy is going to miraculously change over night, so we give him another shot, and another, and sometimes another one! Value yourself and realize that you deserve better. If you allow him back in and forgive each time, he wont realize that what he is doing needs to stop or that he needs to change. He will continue because you continue to accept it. Be (D)etermined: Don’t fall into the trap of doing the same workout routine everyday that it gets to the point where you aren’t being challenged anymore. Switch it up! Try a new form of cardio like kick boxing, use weights, do more arm curl reps, add in more strength training moves, or target a new area of your body. If you aren’t working your muscles your body wont change and you WONT SEE RESULTS! (source).

“Boys are like purses-cute, full of crap and easily replaced.” ~Unknown

Be (B)eautiful: A classic summer/fashion essential is a hot clutch. Clutches dress up any outfit and are truly worn as an accessory much like a bracelet. These are a few of my favorites! I love this clutch to dress up a simple outfit for a night out. You can never go wrong with a splash of pink! This clutch is  my personal fave! It screams I am a  BAD girl and you should be jealous! This Michael Kors clutch is too cute for words. I can see myself rockin’ this with a cute sun dress sippin’ on mimosa’s! Be (A)uthentic: If something is bothering you- the worst thing you can do is bottle it up inside. If it is something that you feel wont be able to just go away on its own then find a healthy way to deal with it. Write it down, vent to a close friend, find a solution.  If it involves another person don’t attack them (verbally or physically), but take a few minutes to gather your thoughts and approach …

“Most people have a harder time letting themselves love than finding someone to love them.” ~Bill Russell

Be (B)eautiful: Summer is around the corner and if you have some free time why not volunteer? Volunteering is not only a wonderful resume booster, but it is also a life booster. It feels so great to help out others. I promise you wont regret it even if you have to wake up early on a weekend. Check out this site for great volunteer opportunities in your area. Be (A)uthentic:  Allow yourself to open up and be vulnerable (to an extent) when it comes to love. It is understandable that you have been hurt before, but you don’t want to push away someone who is genuinely trying to love you. Trust your heart- if it tells you to open up than don’t fight it. Your female intuition will allow you to realize if this guy is worth it or not. Be (D)etermined: A good way to keep your self from over eating, pigging out on delicious junk food, or straying off from your fitness goals is to write down EVERYTHING you eat throughout the day. …

“Spring cleaning is a great motivator. Why confine it to Spring?”

Be (B)eautiful: I’m a bit late with this, but better late than never I always say! Spring cleaning? Have you done it yet? Regardless, of your answer I hope you always donate your old goodies (clothes, shoes, bags, etc). Throwing those things away would be insane! I found some great sites for donating your fab items. Is your old prom dress still hanging in your closet, or better yet- the dress you wore to your EX b/f’s prom?! Why not donate it? Help out a young girl who may not be able to afford going to prom. I love the name of this site http://www.cinderellaproject.net and also, http://www.operationfairydust.org.  Another really great organization to donate to is http://www.dressforsuccess.org – looking good/appropriate for job interviews/work is so important, but can be really costly. So donate some of your old slacks, button ups, blazers, etc. Make someone else feel just as (B)eautiful as you do everyday! Be (A)uthentic: Did you know that when you are on the phone with someone they can hear you smiling? Try it! People can …

Be (B)eautiful: Trench coats are BIG this Spring and there are so many cute styles to choose from. If your in need of a new Spring jacket, why not try a trench? You can easily dress up your day time look. Even better, you can sex-up your night time look for when you want to get naughty and surprise your man with the infamous naked- under- the- trench coat fantasy! 😉 Be (A)uthentic: Being unique and having one of a kind pieces is essential. I absolutely love having custom made jewelry designed just for me! I once copied a custom piece that I saw Mariah Carey wearing and have yet to see anyone  with anything remotely close to it.  Come up with your own design and then take it to a jeweler or try to find unique shops, boutiques, or street fairs where you may find original pieces that aren’t sold everywhere. Watch the compliments roll on in! Be (D)etermined: Losing weight is a bitch and dieting sucks! Now that the weather is getting warmer everyone …
